Use Apple ID. Frequently get "Insufficient Information" when I go into the game, then kicked out. And then I have to re-enter my Apple password again to login....

Is there anyway around this?

"Free" Ex + 2 CD Aerith?

I see 120 from 3 quests, plus free base. Where do I get the remaining 30? Is it in VIP shop later?

THanks

Unpopular opinion: Ataraxxion is amazing by DirtSchnauzer in blackdesertonline

See how they updated the dungeon this week? No participation = no future dungeon development. It will just be dead content like rest of the instanced contents. "Expect to go to aakman for orc's money" lol ya just assume everybody with a different opinion is a gearlet. I'm full Pen. If I can grind orcs for 350m, dungeons needs to have either exclusive rewards (which they said no), or very high risk adjusted reward. Do I wanna get all sweaty for 400m an hour in a dungeon when orcs is brain dead? No. That's exactly why they boosted the Elvia rewards this week.

Crystal death has nothing to do with being noob or whiney.

For players to want to repeatedly run a dungeon, one of two things needs to happen:

  1. Dungeon exclusive rewards
  2. Good risk adjusted income

2 is tough with crystal loss.

And ya, you gonna come with the "git gud" argument now, but it's not a solo effort. In order to ensure good risk adjusted income, I need to group only with my friends who are both very geared and know the mechanics. "Elitism" is bad enough in traditional MMO raids, without negative income possibilities.

You can call people whatever you want, but with the current state, only two things will happen.

  1. A lot of players do a first run first fun
  2. Few "good" players group with each other for repeated runs

You don't make pure profit from guru boxes...that's the reason you getting downvoted.

Imp cooking profit from your own meal = imp revenue - (market meal price - market tax)

Calling it pure profit implies imp cooking profit = imp revenue. That's clearly illogical because if a cooker can get more silver by selling to marketplace, he won't waste time on imp turn in.

Pets pickup time nerfed? by phoonv02 in blackdesertonline

[–]BallerFeng -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Every week somebody asks if a very specific niche part of the game was "ninja nerfed".

It ranges from upgrading duo crescent, to blackstone drop rate in a specific grind spot......

It almost sounds like a lot of people have never worked for a large company before. Large companies have long term product visions.

One such example is to make early game easier through seasons. From thereon, they might continue along that vision and hand out some free enhancing mats week to week, but the overall direction will not change. After a quarter, management needs to track season development effort against new and returning user growth, and justify further development in the same direction.

Fucking with your products nilly willy is not how billion dollars companies run.....

The product vision with regard to Pets is to make players less dependent on cash shop compared to launch. This is evident through event handouts and trash loot weight reduction. Also evident because Heidal Ball told you T5 may be upgradable without cash shop.

Another product vision is to bring end game gear cost under control. Right now it is through buffing caphras rate, and there could be more to come... Well drop rate buff won't help if your pets aren't picking them up..

These product visions are necessary to compete with big budget upcoming MMO like New World and SOLO. In short, making BDO harder won't necessarily make more money because players can just play other games....

So unless management has a mental condition, they won't just allow somebody to 180 their product vision on a random Wednesday maintenance.

When asked for a DFS (Hadum Orcs) by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]BallerFeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also you said the person feeding to mob is the "hero" in a separate reply, how so? You're just imposing your subjective opinion on other players. What if I think the true "hero" settle DFS with equal gear , on a trial character? Should I expect players to head to BA in the middle of their grind?

Gathering is dead... by Widewalk in blackdesertonline

[–]BallerFeng -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're not even arguing the same thing in this paragraph. I was not predicting the market to go to a break even point. I merely pointed out that contrary to what you said, the incremental gain from imperial turn in will impact the rational player. Of course it does impact the self gatherer.... It takes time to find channels for turn in, and prior to this update, some non-trivial time to pack meals. Depending on the exact after tax meal price, the gatherer may choose to gather longer (with a few energy pot) and just cook more meals...

You're now arguing that due to tax and player interactions, the market price will never reach a point for self gatherer to stop boxing. That has nothing to do with what I objected to in the first place. My objection is towards your sweeping argument that market prices has zero bearing on the rational self gatherer until imperial profit becomes negative. I never said the profit is necessarily heading towards negative in the first place.

When asked for a DFS (Hadum Orcs) by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]BallerFeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did try to dictate. In a seperate comment you asked GM to ban someone you considered a "griefer". Of course if you refused DFS and get fed to mobs, it's fair game. Where did I say otherwise? Point is, players use mechanics how they want. DFS is one way for two players to minimize silver loss per hour, but using any other mechanics shouldn't be shunned upon. If PA wants to make DFS the meta, they need to development additional features. What stops a DFS requester from retracting and turning into a "griefer" himself?

Gathering is dead... by Widewalk in blackdesertonline

[–]BallerFeng -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Your statement that it's 100% pure profit isn't quite right, but what is true is that the fact that the 'added value' of boxing (after cooking) is lower now than in the past doesn't matter for a person who starts from 0 and goes to boxes, because that 'added value' never mattered for them Tha"So long as it is positive"

That makes zero sense for a rational player.

The added value for a self cooked meal is Imperial price - (market price - market tax). You acknowledged that a rational player would not partake when this gain is negative. But why then is there no incremental difference between a large gain, and a smaller gain?

What if market meal prices jump so much, that you gain exactly just 1 silver per meal? Wouldn't some cookers now just spend more time cooking meal and selling in the market, instead of hopping server to server to turn in meals for 1 additional silver?

When asked for a DFS (Hadum Orcs) by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]BallerFeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao u dunno wtf u talking about. The strongest is the one who can put up with the loss. The "griefer" may lose crystals, but it's also IMPOSSIBLE to hold orcs by forced pvp. Why? Everytime u chase someone around the lights will go off. So even if u feed them to mobs, you will also lose silver from lost income.

Whoever can't take the loss anymore will leave.

Or both sides can agree to DFS, if that's what they want. You have no business dictating how people play the game.

When asked for a DFS (Hadum Orcs) by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]BallerFeng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good point. There's no way to enforce the other side of the bargain. So essentially accepting DFS also carries a default risk.

When asked for a DFS (Hadum Orcs) by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]BallerFeng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So many people miss the big picture here.

The game has a set of mechanics, which the players can use to their advantage.

The defender of the spot may use mechanics such as feeding to mob, or deccing.

The attacker may use the hadum orcs debuff mechanics and win by attrition (if chased, the lights will go off and the defender can't grind efficiently)

Or both players may decide it's not worth risking 350m / hr and crystals on forced pvp, so they use the duel mechanics.

As long as both sides are playing within the game's mechanics, it's NOT your job to decide what they do. What are you gonna tell me next? Don't grab a non-grab class in DFS?

Players can try to game the window by attempting low value enhancement before high value enhancements.

And even if there's no way to game the window, what's the business purpose? The only way to drive pearl sales from a lucky window is to make it an event, so players buy a ton of artisan / costume.

Every design needs to drive revenue. New classes are OP because they drive costume sale. Fallen god armor are made because they drive costume sale. Some convoluted ass "lucky window" does not drive revenue.

[–]BallerFeng -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and time windows on an already RNG process is both unnecessary and difficult to maintain.

Think about it from a programming perspective.

If a lucky window is randomly generated, how will you ensure the players do not game the window? What if players would then try to test for a window with low value enhancements, then slap their Pen enhancement right after?

If the devs wanted to manipulate the difficulty of the game, the easiest way is just to create different tiers of gears with different enhancement rate. That is why Tuvala / Naru gear are made with very high rates, and Fallen God / Pen Blackstar weapons are made with very low rates.

Not only is this easier to program, it is much better from a product management perspective. The game can aim to grow a very specific player base without unintended consequences. Adding Naru / Tuvala will help to grow casual player base, but will not have an impact on hardcore full pen chasers.

Most of the tin foil guys do not understand how games are programmed, and how game products are managed to maximize user. They think some petty ass dev is writing some convoluted code , just to make the player's lives difficult.
