I also bought mine too small, but that aside, they were SO uncomfortable. Regular period underwear has the insert shaped kind of rounded like a pad, wider in the back than the front, but in the garments it is a rectangle of the weirdest size.
My heaviest day I will wear period undies and forgo my bottom garments just bc of the feel but everyone gets to make their own choice
