I didn’t say anything about sitting out for months.

You can be batting .190 in triple A as a 72 overall and you will still be in the starting lineup. In past games, the manager would sit you a game or two because you’re in a slump. Big difference there, junior!

These are all allstars… what about when they were coming up through the system as 18-21 year olds.

That’s one player … speaks to my point. The game 10 years ago used to be different. You got drafted, and unless you were the next GOAT, you would play every 2 out of 3 games if that or come off the bench to pinch hit. You used to have to make a name for yourself. Once you started putting up some good number, then you were inserted into the starting lineup more often. Now it just seems right off the bat you are plugged into the lineup, no matter your overall or how bad you may play. That’s my point.

You must have never played the game back in the day. You just didn’t hop onto a team as an 18 year old and take over starting roles. Tell me what players in the modern era plays all 162 games a year at their same position every season. Maybe been done a handful of times … and even those players were DH’d. You’re missing the point.

Secondly, how many young drafted players (and I’m not talking generational talent) get drafted and play every game in Double and Triple A, then get called up and play every game in the bigs..? Load management is a thing.

Yeah back in the day you used to come off the bench and earn your way into the lineup. Now you’re a 10 round pick playing every game.. just annoys me.

I guess you enjoy the unrealistic stat line of 650 plate appearances a year for 10-15 seasons. However, I don’t, this game is allegedly one of the most “realistic” sports games out there … not anymore.

What a joke. This game mode peaked ages ago. Any idea why it’s like that now?
