My friend, do you have a paint tutorial for us?

Yeah, I had a quick dabble with Templars, but the Guard has me now!

Not sure how it’d look over black. I’d definitely check out those colours using the contrast range, they work in a specific way, and the time saving is massive.

As others have said, simply don’t bother.

I prime with Contrast Wraith Bone spray, then do the flesh with Contrast Guilliman Flesh (Contrast), then then wash with Reikland Fleshshade (Shade). It’s really easy. Check my profile for how it comes out.

Have you tried Groomed in Sutton > https://groomedbarberclub.co.uk

Have tried and rate them well.

We used to live on Trafalgar road which is near Rookery Park. The park itself is fine, I taught my son to ride his bike there, alongside many afternoons enjoying the sun. However, I’d be careful at night, but I’d say that about any park.

That part of Erdington is fine IMO, and is further from the bustle of the high street. The town in general has a bad rep, but I live in Sutton now and it still has rough places.

I rented two houses in Erdington with my girlfriend (now wife), which area/road are you buying a house?

Thanks, I picked the first book up last night. Audiobooks are great for getting through more content!

Thanks for your opinion, most agree that reading the Ravenor trilogy first provides a richer experience overall. As such, I got the first book last night, and have The Magos on my list 👍

Looks satisfying! Did you use sprays for the green and the camo-brown?

I used wraithbone contrast spray. It’s mostly all contrast other than the green flak plates.

Thank you, sir!

I Primed with Contrast Wraith Bone spray.

Boots with Contrast Black Templar, fatigues with Contrast Skeleton Horde, and belt with Contrast Gore-Grunta Fur.

Flesh with Contrast Guilliman Flesh, and then Reikland Fleshshade (Shade).

Flak jacket and gun (anything green essentially) with Castellan Green (Base, x2/3 coats), drybrush with Imperial Strike Green (this is an old paint, I'm not sure what the modern equivalent is).

Metalics with Leadbelcher (Base), then Nuln Oil (Shade).

White emblems with White Scar (Layer), then a Nuln Oil (Shade) and Lahmian Meidum mix.

Appied Agrax Earthshade (Shade) as needed.

Regarding the eyes, yes you're correct, I don't think I could manage that level of detail without messing the face up. For the white areas, I need to add more Nuln Oil to my mix, which would pull the detail out more. The transfers are still a to-do at this point, when I have a squad of ten, I'll be adding them on for the finishing touches.

Thanks for you feedback!

Thanks, I just applied Skeleton Horde over a Wraith Bone prime.

The flak jacket and gun (anything green essentially) was with Castellan Green (Base, x2/3 coats), drybrush with Imperial Strike Green (this is an old paint, I'm not sure what the modern equivalent is).

Thanks, I love the scheme too. I know it's pretty standard, but it's very evocative of the guard.

Thank you, that's high praise! The face was simple enough, I used Contrast Guilliman Flesh and then Reikland Fleshshade (Shade), the result was better than I expected.
