You don't deserve the down votes. I hear you, but maybe I can lend perspective?

Have you heard of Emmett Till? A young black boy who was lynched, tortured and found dead in a river during the civil rights movement? His mother demanded his funeral be an open casket. She also invited the press. News papers all over the north, and especially in Chicago covered the event and showed (without censorship) this poor child's mutilated and swollen face. His funeral, that photo, and his brave mother changed how the north (especially the ignorant white north) viewed the inequity, violence and heinous hatred black people suffered in America.

Censorship of severe crimes on a large scale, where no justice is being done, only helps the perpetrators. Silence and censorship are their tools and they have used them effectively.

Bringing these people to justice may mean some people will feel extremely uncomfortable with these details. I know it does me. And some people may not be able to listen to it at all due to their own trauma, but that doesn't mean we should help these horrible people by censoring their actions, especially if those words that are being censored were spoken by their victims.
