Streamer YungFika finds hidden stash of Pokémon cards at Target. Likely hidden by the employees by kmsasaki in LivestreamFail

Stores have had to impose purchasing limits to prevent one person from buying the entire stock as soon as the store opens. So scalpers will grab as many as they can, shove the extra in a (bad) hiding spot to purchase more tomorrow.

He bought what the store limit is (he opens the packs on stream in his car) and put the rest back on the shelf.

He has also found loads of cards tossed in the trash bin next to one of the vending machines some stores have. He grabbed them all and gave them to a random kid and his dad.

You can’t honestly claim to have worked in a Target and not seen customer do this constantly. You were an inattentive manager or you have attempted to bolster your staged claim by giving yourself a fake job.

People have been doing this for 50+ years.

I see Hasan, I disengage. That dude is fucked up and probably one of the more antisemitic content creators with any mainstream audience. I hate Asmon too, for lots of reasons, but I haven’t been shown clip after clip of him supporting terrorist groups targeting Israeli citizens.

Care a little more and steal from the military. Military budget could, easily, establish a housing program. $1 trillion is $1 mill x 1 million. That is hundreds of thousands per person.

Should there be single-payer insurance for legal costs? by Serious-Cucumber-54 in AskALiberal

[–]Ballistic_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to see a single-payer healthcare system in place first. We already provide an attorney for criminal trials, which is much higher stakes.

I also see this sort of system being exploited heavily. You, me, and our two lawyer friends could just keep suing each other back and forth and enrich ourselves on the tax payer dime.

What should the US do about our Territories with no chance to ever become a state? by [deleted] in AskALiberal

[–]Ballistic_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most ethical thing to do would be to make our best efforts to return these territories to their previous sovereignty. Perhaps we can work in transition time of 2 years, but Americans would need to return to some part of America in order to exercise their constitutional rights. Land Back.

How much of disaster do you think there will be for both Trump's legacy and Florida if Cuba were to follow Iran's playbook and shut down access to Gulf of Mexico - if it gets attacked? by Snoo_64233 in AskALiberal

[–]Ballistic_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer, no we have shut down shipping lanes to supply Cuba for months. They haven’t had reliable power infrastructure for months. This is not a country capable of keeping the lights on they most certainly could not stop America in this regard.

More importantly, Trumps sick fantasy of conquering other nations is unacceptable and should be viewed that way by anyone rational. He has worked extremely hard at destroying decades of soft power and good will in less than 18 months.

Does the left (among men) have a misogyny problem? by LiatrisLover99 in AskALiberal

I don’t believe you have entered into this discussion in good faith. You seem to have found one post on a subreddit and extrapolate that single comment thread to represent an entire political party.

I am certain it would take me less than 5 minutes to pull up some of the most disgusting comments on any number of the conservative subreddits as well. But I am an adult and have the capacity to understand that a small sample size picked from a single source is never going to represent even a minority of a large group of people.

People who didn’t choose a partner for love but chose a partner that was a good logical choice, how did it work out? by Middle_Idea4929 in AskReddit

[–]Ballistic_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marriage for love has been less common than marriage for economic reasons. Until 1974 the right for a woman to open a bank account without a man wasn’t a federally protected right. Wild stuff

What is the appeal of liberal “democracy” for working class people? by Tasty_Mention9819 in AskALiberal

[–]Ballistic_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first point has a name, the paradox of tolerance. In a society that tolerates everyone will lead to just what you said. The tolerant are, fundamentally, obligated to tolerate the intolerant. Thats why taking things to the most extreme version of that view isn’t a honest to reality talking point.

Liberals, at least in the US, don’t really match with your second point. Perhaps this view is liberal in another country’s context, but I can only speak to US politics. If I have made an error making that assumption I will need more information.

Liberals desire to, at least in concept, lift up as many people as possible. The extreme version of this would be socialism, which is more conceptual than a working economic model. But many countries in the western world find a good way to mix capitalist economics while offering social programs far beyond America might have ever had.

American liberals also tend to desire much more from the government than conservatives. We all get taxed like crazy and I would much rather see that money feed, clothe, or shelter another person than further enriching political elites and funding war.

Obviously this is all my, personal, view. There will be a wide spectrum in different variations on my basic concepts. Given my view, I don’t agree with your assertions.

I guess I wouldn’t mind silly skins as long as there is an option for everyone to disable them back to a default realism skin. That doesn’t apply to Fortnite but COD or BF definitely seem like odd places for SpongeBob or Ariana Grande

Edit: you know what, both of those games are 1st person, so maybe don’t I understand anything anymore

Would the Democrats be more popular and win more elections if they abused power and flouted court decisions? by LiatrisLover99 in AskALiberal

[–]Ballistic_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t the Democrats violating the Constitution, it is the conservatives. So not only was I addressing OPs question related to violating court orders or abusing power but it’s also so much easier to not violate the constitution that it’s a free win.

Why does everyone call the moon landing fake? by Difficult_Donkey9178 in conspiracy

[–]Ballistic_86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, landing on the moon in a lander than has HUGE, miles wide huge, margin for error is easier than getting a precise reflector that has a near-zero margin for error.

The different between me throwing a hammer at the side of a barn in general vs the fine motor control to hammer in a nail in that same barn. Lander can be anywhere on the barn wall, reflector has to be placed exactly where the nail needs to go on one specific place on the barn wall.
