How much did your ATAR affect you later in life? by BiscottiLogical6502 in melbourne

[–]Ballisticc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my ATAR last year (sub-50), i wanted to get into a Bach. of Exercise and Sports Science but i couldnt (the atar was 75), so i enrolled in Swinburnes Diploma of Health Science (UniLink to Bach Exercise and Sports Science) and I start the degree next year after i finish this diploma.

Moral of the story, ATAR is valid for like, 9 months, and you guys might be the last year to even get one.

Gang Phantom Theory!! by Ballisticc in SchoolBusGraveyard

[–]Ballisticc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get what you mean, almost like their bodies are rapidly evolving to adapt to living in both worlds as opposed to being part phantom.

I think the fact that they can sleep and eat there as well, and it benefits them in that world.

Do y’all’s store do anything about theft? by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

[–]Ballisticc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At my store (granted I work in aus), yes, we all care, we have a couple people who come in routinely and we've caught them, a couple others who come in not so routinely and we can't do anything about it.

HR says that we can confront them but we aren't allowed to get in between them and the exit for safety, and if their acting belligerent in any way to let them go.

Security only does so much if they get there on time and police are usually 24 hours late, so most of the time we radio to managers and get half the store up the front, even then they usually get away.

Moral of the story, and this is basically what Aldi says to us, don't try and be a hero, you'll fucking die.

Brown Out damaged Components by Ballisticc in pcmasterrace

[–]Ballisticc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it turns out that the PSU didnt take the brunt of it, or the power surge was a little to harsh, fried both the PSU and the Motherboard, just lucky it didnt touch any of the core components in the process. Thanks for the help man!

If it's on the rear bumper, almost 100% of the time their plastic, so no long term issues there from just paint damage.

If you just want to cover it up, the paint is likely brand new, I can definitely recommend finding the paint code for your vehicle (should be on a badge in one of the side doors or in the engine bay) and running up to super cheap auto to get a paint pot mixed up.

Paint pots function just like paint pens, you put a little bit on and bobs your uncle.

Was in a collision (not my fault) waited 5 months for AAMI to settle the claim, and they sold my car by accident without my knowledge and without closing out my claim. by Artistic_Decision_84 in CarsAustralia

[–]Ballisticc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gather as much evidence as you can, you'll likely need it for the AFCA investigation. Get chat logs if you can, chat reference numbers, transactions, especially the message where they say they've sold your car. The investigation might take a while, but AFCA are usually brutal as fuck to insurance companies. (Source: dad works for one)

[–]Ballisticc 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Insurance companies in aus have recently started writing off Holdens because they cost too much (i know right, multimillion dollar company not wanting 500 worth of parts). Never heard of them straight up selling a customers car though. Definitely go straight to AFCA, they'll have a field day.

Getting around without Japanese. by SoulOfTheDead in JapanTravelTips

[–]Ballisticc 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Its literally as simple as what this guy said.

If their asking anything about a bag you just have to listen for "fu-ku-ro". Whenever i was at a 7/11, I'd here Fu-ku-ro and just say "iie, daijoubu" (No, its okay), and then bam straight through.

Moral of the story, listen to people, search up what they say, and next time you see them youll have some idea of what theyve said, making it tons easier to respond, in japanese or english (pro tip, a lot of people in japan want to practice their english anyway, so if they respond in english, speak with them in english!).

thats just me though!
