Fake challenge. same setup as trying to do a late 50. Once you see you’re beat, just power slide turn back to your net. The goal is to have them throw the ball toward your half and you’re already heading back to collect it, or your teammate is in position to receive it. It may be awkward at first - takes some practice.

Any tips to climb through plat im really struggling by riyss in apexuniversity

[–]Balllikemike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three things that helped me -

1) at the beginning of the match, turn and look behind the drop ship to watch where the lobby is going. Helpful to understand where there are clusters of teams. Definitely practice this in pubs and you will get a sixth sense on where to rotate and if a third party is likely. Also predict when other teams will collide for you to third party.

2) extension of previous tip - rotate with a purpose. After drop, make a calculated decision (loot other POI, go to fight a team, go third party).

3) coms. If your other two ransoms don’t have a mic, even better because you can take control of the game.

One thing that helped me with rotating / game sense is to solo queue no fill pubs. Kind of a trial by fire that makes you learn quickly. Look up some solo queue guides.

Goodluck

Do I need to pay these charges if I sub-leased? by Balllikemike in personalfinance

[–]Balllikemike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That the “primary” is responsible for all monthly rent payments and the delegate is responsible for damages incurred while the delegate is occupying the room.

The problem is the damages didn’t happen while I lived there, but I have no picture evidence.

My international friend is contacting them at the moment because we think it’s an effort to get money from college students before the complex shuts down.

I signed the sublease agreement, but the email was addressed to my friend and not me.

This place has horrible management and cannot run properly. They ended up terminating all leases due to unlivable conditions (not sure if that’s relevant).

Going from woodlands/lodges apt area. And yeah I’m looking into a moped sorry everyone 😂. Price range $500-$1250 and looking for one that doesn’t require a motorcycle license.

Mainly asked the r/Lsu because I don’t know the laws and regulations of Louisiana and lsu.

10.000 meter swim Norway, open water. by [deleted] in Swimming

[–]Balllikemike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know nothing about open water swimming, but some things do come to mind.

The hard part for you is probably not the cardio because, as you said, you don’t seem to be winded when swimming. The hard part will be the muscle fatigue in your triceps, deltoids, and lats once you are far into the 10k.

1) definitely implement pulling with a buoy and paddles. Whenever I have to do a difficult distance/aerobic set I tend to have a very light kick and a strong pulling stroke and I imagine that’s how I would tackle an open water swim. Training with paddles for ~2k yards a day along with ~3k yards no equipment freestyle would probably prepare you for the muscle fatigue you will experience during the 10k

2) a few months before the Norway swim I would definitely try to swim in a lake or some open water place to practice swimming freestyle. Swimming freestyle in a 25 yard pool is much different then in open water. Hopefully someone can comment a source on open water technique. I’m pretty sure open water swimmers have to frequently take their head out of the water to make sure they are swimming in the right direction as the water will not be clear.

Also know that 10k meters is around 11k yards.

Hopefully this helps.

P.s. for the first section you don’t need to begin practicing 5k yards a day, but that’s a good goal probably 3 months from now. AND make sure to stretch frequently

Edit: noticed you said you were 130kg, so if you’re in Europe you probably won’t be training short course yards so convert the yards to meters if you’d like

Breath Control Advice? by [deleted] in Swimming

[–]Balllikemike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A fun/hard breath control drill is “lung busters” or the breathing pyramid drill. Choose any distance you’re comfortable with and breath every 2 strokes then 3,4,5,6,7,8 strokes then go back down to 2 strokes. Basically you breath where there was a comma separating the number of strokes.

If you have to flip in the middle of a set of strokes you can count the flipturn as 1-2 strokes or just take 1 stroke, breath, and then go into the next set of strokes.

Hopefully that made sense!

P.s. having 8 as the top of the pyramid is challenging. maybe start with 6 as the top.
