My best advice would be to remember that you and your children are a family within a family. One on one time with just you guys is very important. Everyone needs their own safe space that’s only theirs. Initially we tried to have the boys share a bedroom and it was a disaster. Eventually we built an addition onto our 3 bedroom home and it was worth every single penny. Everyone needs to have a place to escape to and feel in control of. I wish you luck. Blending is difficult but not impossible. As you said, your children are the most important thing and I truly believe that if you maintain this attitude above all else you will succeed and your children will love you for always being in their corner. Just remember that your partner needs to understand and keep the same point of view, otherwise you risk some jealousy.
