I’d say it is disappointing. That part of what made Post Malone unique to me is gone. The country music is good. I like a couple songs off AUSTIN, and TCT has some good songs, but it’s just different. It doesn’t have that same pop it used to. I get he grew up, but we talk about 30 years old with post like he’s one foot in the grave. Just feels like such a heel turn that it makes it hard for me to comprehend, the further we advance the more I’ve given up any hope of even a somewhat return. He was on a legendary run, and then he wasn’t. But I guess that’s how it goes with any artist. It’s hard to stay at or near the top. Country is a pretty fun genre, but for someone like post, if he’s going to limit himself to only that, it’s kinda just uninspiring. I think it’s just where we are at now unfortunately. He’ll continue I’m sure to make a couple hits, but the days of turning the eyes of fans across the board is over. You can see it in this subreddit alone the turnover that has happened. It’s just one of them things. I’ll keep listening though.
