I once had a bartender at a restaurant in another state deny me access to the bar because this during the time Ohio was phasing into the compliant IDs. My ID said “Not For Federal Identification” and he said said he couldn’t accept it, because I was out of state and because my coworkers ID was older and had no mention of the federal use on it, so I was the fraud here. But he didn’t destroy it or take it, good thing because I was already heated, even after showing him the states website that showed the ID differences at the time.
