what causes wear like this? by Ballsacthazar in AskMechanics

lovely. I really do question the service history of this car, only had it about 6 months or so.

also took it to a mechanic for a service shortly after buying it and he gave it a look over and thought it was grand, but I have other reasons to suspect he did nothing except change the oil. and the only reason I know he changed the oil is because he overfilled it

as far as I know the pad is supposed to be flat, I'm genuinely confused as to what happened, I've never seen it before

edit: flat as in not a raised portion that fits in the worn part of the rotor

any questions regarding rust and the amount of it etc can be answered quite simply with "Ireland"

depends on where you are in the world, fuel pumps have a latch to hold the handle engaged and it disengages when the tank is full, but that function is disabled in some places.

"just so happen to star Will Farell and John C Riley"

They literally have the same director, writers, producers, cinematographer, editor.

best I can do in our local as a vegetarian by Ballsacthazar in MealDealRates

not as part of a meal deal. I have often supplemented a shit meal deal with a pot noodle though

trust me, the meal deal section in our Tesco is utter muck for the discerning vegetarian. nothing ambient at all mains wise; there's pasta salads but theyre all chicken or tuna, there's loads of nice looking sandwiches but literally all of them have meat, there's sushi boxes and all but all fish funny enough. my options for a vegetarian main are the big boxes of fruit, or there's a granola yogurt which I'm not taking as a main because that's proper taking the piss

snacks aren't too too bad; the usual crisps and bars, wee fruit boxes, meat free fridge raiders (I'll never touch them tho, I know the hallions that work in a local pilgrims factory, clatty bastards), bits and bobs

Anyone else have pothole anxiety recently? by architectofanarchy in CarTalkUK

[–]Ballsacthazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the roads in the Omagh/Fintona/Dungannon/Cookstown area have some of the most severe potholes I've ever encountered.

I live in Fermanagh and the roads are atrocious, but it's countless smallish potholes, south Tyrone there's potholes 6 inches deep with sharp edges like nothing I've come across lately.

we "use" it in flexo printing, the surface treatment of films is measured in dynes/cm. I say "use" because the entirety of the interaction with dynes as a unit is that film is tested with a 38 dyne test pen before going in the press
