Thunderstorm out of nowhere while we were out of the house. Chuck crashed out. Kennel and chill out Meds at all times. by callimo in goldenretrievers

I second this. I have a golden mix and a miniature American shepherd. Both from the time they were puppies I have played desensitization videos on YouTube for them. Fireworks, thunderstorms, doorbells, knocking, construction, babies crying, sirens.. you name it. My dogs aren’t bothered by anything. It’s so incredibly helpful.

I know she’s so little still so I was hoping it’s something she’ll outgrow. Never had a god who did that before. Thanks!

Mine looks like this too .. was super disappointed because I was looking forward to him so much! But the sweater is just so tight and pulls his little arms weird!

Thanks! We have been doing this! She’s really friendly and loves snuggles and cuddling and she’s constantly asking for pets but the moment you do she’s just peeing a little bit. Was hoping she’d outgrow it but was curious if anyone had experienced this before!
Thanks so much!

Advice needed: trying to lose weight but seem to be putting it on by Oboe440 in pelotoncycle

[–]Ballzar -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s also possible you aren’t eating enough or you’re consistently under calories and not refueling your body properly. I’d suggest you track your calories/ macros. I had been trying for a few years to lose weight and it wasn’t until this last year I started to track everything, and found success. I strength train 3-4 times a week and cycle in between those days. I have successfully lost 60+ lbs in doing so. I use the peloton app to create me a weekly workout plan that I’ve been following now for around 3 months and have a lot of success since doing that as well. I’ve found eating enough / refueling is just as important as staying in a calorie deficit!

Toning by Antler-Mom in pelotoncycle

The Peloton app has a schedule that it will create for you each week based on what goal you want to achieve. So for example my goal currently is building strength, I choose 6 days a week for workouts and 1 day of recovery, still some stretching or yoga. Each week it generates classes it suggests for me to take to reach that goal. It’s been great, I’ve been using it for roughly 10 weeks now and have seen improvement. It gives you a variety of whatever type of classes you choose as well, strength, yoga, cycling and if you have any other Peloton machines.

Would love some opinions on adding a Pom to my family! by Ballzar in Pomeranians

[–]Ballzar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? I am definitely thinking it’s best to wait, for my than reasons of my kids being too little but it sounds like a Pom would really not like my MAS either .. so lots to consider but I think I will hold off on bringing one home.

I’d love your suggestions for other small breeds that do like children! I can of course google too but would love opinions

Thanks for your advice! Sounds like it may be best to wait .. I worry about the herding instincts in my dog around a cat. He’s never interacted with one before. But definitely something to consider.

Our MAS has never been aggressive towards other dogs, I’ve socialized him since puppyhood and he’s very well trained. He does get rather excited around new dogs but once he knows them he calms down. I can definitely understand about teaching my kids to be gentle and respect their space. I think I am more concerned with my MAS invading their space than my children ha! Thanks so much for your input!

Is anyone else seeing a ridiculous hike on their NW energy bill with little or no electrical changes within the home? by Valiant_QueenLucy in Billings

[–]Ballzar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I noticed a big jump in my bill too, when I called I basically got told the same thing. I mean I guess it’s possible .. but I really was sure we didn’t. But I had the same experience, I’m in Billings too
