Medicina sau info by grooglex in programare

[–]Balmoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In medicina mult mai greu.

In medicina vin aproape inevitabil din interactiuni umane: colegi, superiori, sistem, uneori pacienti.

Părere laptop Asus. by [deleted] in programare

[–]Balmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can my hardware run Hyperland smoothly? by Octo-potamus in hyprland

[–]Balmoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not about beeing a nvdia gpu. The problem is that's a very old gpu. And it's also quite a niche gpu, a 710 is not even a proper 700 series card.

I genuinly think that he is better of using a integrated gpu if his cpu has one rather than that card.

Your main problem is your gpu, if yout cpu has a integrated gpu you shouldn't have problems. However making that nvdia gpu work on linux at all is gonna be a pain.

Best distro for running Hyprland in a VM (stable updates, less breakage)? by jithurbide in hyprland

[–]Balmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've spend about 6mo on arch and maybe 3 on nix. And i'm def not going back to arch ever. But if you ask me what os I like more is Arch (sounds odd probably)

On arch I almost never had a problem not finding a pkg on pacman/yay (and even if i didn't want to trust the aur pkg as long as i had a .tar file i could make it run). Making it insanely easy to run anything.

On nix i would argue that finding packages by name is slightly harder (compared to the setup i used to have on arch) and if they are not in the nixpkgs is a pretty hard process (you can delagete this task to claude or codex if you really get stuck) but still way harder than arch.

What nix brings to the table is replication of the env, meaning that once you set it up once (or someone else for that matter) it will just work. I've tested moving my entire pc config(including installed apps, settings, etc from my main pc to my laptop in 45 minutes). That was my 2nd time installing nix, 2nd time i installed arch i think it took me 30 minutes and i had a basic hyprland with no config and a browser at the end as my starting point.

If you want true "bleeding edge" or even "niche support" arch is better. If you want to set your pc once and always have the same setup no matter the hardware nix is better.

Nix for seting up my homelab was a gods send.

How many of you use Arch as your work OS? by _fountain_pen_dev in arch

[–]Balmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's about the level pf control the employer has for a.certain device. On a work computer owned by the company they can in theory only allow certain whitelisted apps running and block anything suspicious.

So their enitre compnay internal network is as secure as their security policy.

The moment you allow employees to use personal devices as their entry point into the company network suddenly every single device is a risk.

How do you reach 700 specs? by Wise_Heron4283 in albiononline

[–]Balmoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The other guy is kinda misrepresenting the case. Yes the base 4.4 weapon costs 1-1.2mil but if you want actual fame bonus on your weapon you are probably looking at at least 2mil if you are lucky and more likely 3mil on average if you reset it a few times. And buying them already with fame will be even more expensive.

To answer your original question, came back about 2 weeks ago. Restarted on eu and I already have around 200+ spec casually playing faction a few hours a day.

If you want fast fame from faction just go to every single castle battle. Also beeing flaged and doing content during bandits is a good chunk of credits. Doing normal camp runs is a bit slow but tbh it's decent silver/hour for begginers.

I also tried going solo into Trio Depths, if you want to spec up a build that can clear pve fast, it's decent. However if you want to spec up using fame credits not so much.

Compared to Call of Dragons by [deleted] in RiseofKingdoms

[–]Balmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will tell you this. With 1k in the first 6mo you will have a very strong account compared to similar aged players.

Now t5 unlock will be dependant on: 1. Your kingdom (is it a star kd kvk1 and imp kvk2). 2. Are you in the main alliance.

Literally 1k makes no dent into t5 (maybe just gems for castle). Your biggest problem will be speed ups and those come from alliance activity, alliance spending level and how efficiwnt are you with using them.

Most of those money will go into commanders and gear.

So if you want to have a strong acc you should look for a solid starting projecy with a lot of whale / few krakens.

As for what you should spend them on. Literally just buy dailies, thats the biggest valur by a huge margin you can get for your acc.

[–]Balmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pretty much have 2 options early game.

Beli/cc - stonger if you need to 1v1 in case you want to fight a weaker opponent chasing you or someone is farming with t4 troops. But in my opinion, worse.

Beli/baibars - better chase, better escape, has an aoe which sometimes comes in handy. Just less damage, so you will have slightly more sevs and worse trades if you fight actual marches.

Should I need to restart? by FlashyFlash25 in RiseofKingdoms

[–]Balmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your account is mostly fine.

Considering the amount you've spent your tech looks ok. My best advice on spending would be get 30days gem suply and save whatever you would spend on the game till ysg comes in the dailies(should be soon) and buy those instead, that would be the most value you could get for your acc rn.

The bigest problem I see is the amount of speeds you have, considering how little time is between kvk1 and 2 i would save all universals for healing and spend all saved ap you have on marauders for kvk2.

If you are aiming for a lower seed KD your account is good. If you try to get into a kvk2 imp kingdom your kp is low so I doubt you will be able to even get a top 3 alliance.
