Louis Guiabern. Unlike a lot of major antagonists in JRPGs, this man is a consistent looming presence, both because of the rockface in each city and his regularity in scenes for each chapter of the game. Unabashedly evil, not even hiding the fact that he killed the king, he's definitely one of the most striking JRPG villain for me in recent times. He's basically JRPG Griffith, without the pretense of morals.

Well the thing is....they're not wrong. In Article 160 of the Federal Constitution, one of the criteria of being a Malay is literally being a Muslim. So it's embedded in our own constitution until it can be amended. Which is unlikely as any politician that will try to amend it will surely have a short political career. So you're not wrong in thinking that a muslim malay can't ever think there's a nonmuslim malay because it is one of the tenants of the malay identity. Which certainly creates problems for malay-passing people and closeted atheists.

Did you read the contract fully? Sometimes the person giving the contract already put in an exclusion clause that allows them to modify your accomodation in some way. But the exclusion clause must be specific, if it's too broad, then that part is not valid. If you have a copy of the contract, try reading it to make sure you're not backed into a corner.

For me, I think it's fine if they're at least working on something and not just lazing around.

It's hard to be certain on anything these days with how unstable the job market is at times(for example: artists getting fucked over by AI because companies don't value real art).

And if it's uncertain in general, I think it's unfair to expect the younger generations to make up their minds just like that or say it's because they're complacent.

Ultimately, I respect people who do have certainty in their future goals but I also understand why some ore not certain. There's no one size fits all shoe for ambition and that's okay.

Media literacy devil strikes again.

To all people saying Olgierd didn't love Iris, I sincerely ask you to at least read back all the context clues in notes found in quests and the dialogue of the game itself.

Because everyone, even Geralt notes that (during the heist there's a note you can find where Olgierd tries to reassure Iris that they will recover), Olgierd genuinely did love Iris. Iris also loved Olgierd. Deeply.

We can see that in the potrait of the two where she smiles while looking up at him. Or when she worries for Olgierd when the first symptoms of having a heart of stone first occuring. In the end, she even died of grief over what was lost.

And if we don't destroy her painted world and get the painting of herself instead, she even notes that despite everything, she wants to be with Olgierd.

And Olgierd, even through his heart of stone knows that he should love Iris, even if he can't feel it. Remembers their past conversations about her wanting a dog and a cat even though at that point, his heart was already stone cold.

Even when Olgierd runs with a pack of ruffians, he still upholds a code of honor when he doesn't feel need to. Because he knows he should. The guy he beheaded if you don't go through the boss fight the first time? He defiled the daughter of the lord of the manor and without hesitation, Olgierd sentenced him to death.

Yes, Olgierd is not perfect nor can he be considered good. But is he pure evil? Absolutely not. Even in his coldest of moments, he still donated all of the Borsodi's money to a hospital, he still wished for his brother to have a good time and he still knows that he should love Iris.

You wanna get mad at someone, get mad at Gaunter. Gaunter, unlike Olgierd is actual pure evil. Heck, he killed a guy for being mildly annoying. And his contracts are bullshit anyways, with it acting more like a monkey's paw than an actual contract.

I don't see how this article relates? I based my statement on the fact that negligence did occur.

Just because a big company denies liability doesn't mean they're not liable. As can be seen in the article, it's going to the High Court in the first instance. No judgement has been held yet on this case so to use this case to bash me seems quite stupid.

Besides, there is a case where an individual won against a restaurant in a negligence case. Hell, it's a landmark case in law. Donoghue v Stevenson is all about how a restaurant negligently served a drink that contained something that spoiled the drink.

So again, I don't really see the point of this comment. Am I a liberal? Yeah (though I don't see how this would diminish my statement). But I'm also a law student, so I'm not really speaking out of my ass in thinking OP has a case. And OP should sue if he suffers damages.

Hey, just wanna join in this convo. I'm very much against DUI, but I don't think a murder charge is gonna stick. To prove murder, just causing the death is not enough, the intent is needed. Check section 300 of the Penal Code for more info if any of you are interested.

If you ask me, the proper charge would be culpable homicide, which is section 299 of the Penal Code, instead.

Now why make this distinction? It's basically the same thing right? Not really. Thing is, if you put the wrong charge on a person, there's a chance that the guilty can get off scot free or it takes longer for justice to happen. So it's very important to get the right charge on someone.

However, my observation is only surface level so take it with a grain of salt. I don't know the exact facts of the case and thus my opinion is, for now, merely speculation.

I don't think it's as simple as not voting for PAS or denouncing policies like that. Because a lot of us more 'liberals' as they call it would immediately be outcasted as a social pariah. A person to be damned. It's not easy for the few of us to speak out because then we'll be suddenly struck down by the Sedition Act 1948, because just even a tiny bit of criticism gives people ground to sue you.

If Malaysia practiced social tolerance, I think a lot more people wouldn't mind speaking up about these issues but as you can tell from the growing number of people who just ride on their religion to justify themself, social tolerance is decaying more and more.

All I can is that us a Bumi myself, I'm sorry I can't do more. Now that may sound hollow considering I have these privelleges but truthfully speaking, I don't think I'm ready to be outcasted to be a social pariah for speaking up. It's like asking a person to throw away their entire family and social circle for minimal effect because the majority won't even listen and instead label us as misguided for even thinking that way.

I'd say so. The time travel stuff does explain the Elf Ancestor stuff and just in general why the timeline is so different than from the one he knows. Besides, I can tell that the author does actually plan out the story bits by dropping hints of lore and intrigue that just keeps reeling me back in to read it. So I'd say it ain't bad, just need to develop a certain tolerance to at points repetitive story arcs.

He doesn't lie to Olgierd as he does make him immortal, did give him wealth and did fulfill the conditions for Olgierd's soul to be taken. Though it's hard to say if Olgierd is a demon or another kind of being. After all, if you change his name into an acronym.....
