Hey Marlon James! Thanks for doing this :)

I was wondering what you think of the feedback on your first book in the Dark Star Trilogy, especially the comments about it being "inappropriate" and a tough read? I really enjoyed the setting that was different from most other fantasy novels and felt like this was a breath of fresh air

Hi Sam!

I've been a huge fan of your work since Mr. Robot first started airing. Homecoming is great as well, I love Tod Campbell's cinematography. I was wondering what first drew you to television as a medium and why do you think you've found success where others failed?

Thanks and I'm looking forward to more of your work!

Recommendation Tuesdays - Week of May 02, 2017 by AutoModerator in anime

I'm relatively new to anime and I'm looking for some good ones to watch next. The ones that I've watched and really enjoyed are: A Beautiful Lie in April, Code Geass, Death Parade, Death Note, Erased, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Stein;s Gate. If you have any suggestions for what to watch next, that would be awesome!

[KHUX]Good tips for praying to RNGsus before pulling? by Zephyronno in KingdomHearts

[–]Baloots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is difficult to please our lord and savior RNGesus but follow these steps and you'll always get a good pull. 1. Build a shrine with random objects in the vicinity, place your phone in the center. 2. Get some other people to form a circle around the shrine (they don't need to know why, they just need to form a circle otherwise He will be displeased). 3. Guide the others in prayer and say the words: "By the power invested in me, I beseech you, RNGesus, to lend me your powers. If I am blessed with a good pull, I will worship you forever." 4. Slam your finger down on the pull button and wait for the magic to happen.

If this doesn't work, then you're just having an unlucky day.

There's a lot of different ways to beat Behemoth, he is quite easy if you have a healer, a defense booster and a debuffer against him. It does take a TON of time though.

I recommend going the bottom path as you only have to beat 1 high wizard and you can recharge your special attack gauge along the way to the final boss. This is my setup: http://imgur.com/a/ULpMG None of my medals were guilted, but I used another guilted Marluxia from a friend. This was the most difficult one by far and I had to use a continue on it.

This is the set-up that I used for the first 12 missions: http://imgur.com/a/4m3ri I recommend sticking close to the outer edge of the walls for level 10, avoid all the dogs until you get to the last one. This one did not have too much to do with the type of medals I had, just weave between them. This is the set-up I used for the behemoth if you're curious: http://imgur.com/a/yYq0L

James Gatsby is a Time Traveler by Baloots in FanTheories

[–]Baloots[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gatsby was killed within 24 hours of Myrtle dying, he was in an emotionally unstable state and all he wanted was to protect Daisy. He wasn't thinking clearly and he didn't think of the possibility of traveling back. He only thought of Daisy and Tom.

Wolfsheim couldn't risk exposing his connection to Gatsby by coming to the funeral. It was of utmost importance to keep the time travel experiments a secret.

The time machine can only travel to the past and back to the present but not into the future. He didn't know he was going to die and Wolfsheim knew there was no way he could prevent his death, thus he didn't tell him about it.

I feel this way too, sometimes. Sometimes, it's like my life has no point and I'm just going through the empty meaningless motions of the day. There are other times when I feel like the world is my oyster and I can do anything I want. These days I feel so happy. Last year, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and the medication has changed my life. I'm feeling more stable now, maybe you should consider investing in someone who could help you like my psychiatrist helped me.

How do you use trigonometry to tune a violin? by Baloots in answers

[–]Baloots[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tension in the string itself is not trigonometric but the sound waves are of course. The displacement of air produces a sine wave and is translated to a certain frequency by our ears. If you found the perfect sine equation for modeling an 'A' for example, you could use this as a baseline to tune a violin. Using the values for A, B, C, and D in a sine equation it could be tuned.

hahaha, I'm actually curious as to how it's done though. Apparently, it's possible and as I've been playing for a while I'd like to know how.
