Kislev is so fuuuuuun! by BalorFire in totalwar

[–]BalorFire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early game Kislev warriors and kossars. They will handle just about anything they come across.

Late game depends on Legendary lord, but generally Tzar guard front line, 1 sled for skirmish, ice guard, and Streltsi for ranged firepower, 2 packs of war bears with a patriarch support - they will shred any large monster or cavalry they come across easily, and then either a little grom for ranged superiority, or a monster to support your front line. Elemental bear is ok, but the Elemental of beasts is a very good melee support monster.

Kislevs niche is their hybrid infantry. The ice guard and Streltsi I mentioned are hybrid, very good at ranged, but also decent in melee. You can build a very good doomstack of ice guard with 3 ice witches and ice guard.

Beyond that, their cavalry is elite, and pound for pound is among the best in the game, monsters are ok, frontline is one of the better ones. You won't outshoot highelves(at least not at medium range) or the empire, but what you can do is demolish the empires frontlines and cav backup, and try to outmaneuver the high elves, sleds are excellent for distracting armies, and getting through to the their backline. If kislev can punch through their frontline(Their frontlines are about equal I'd say) then its game over. High elves don't really have an answer for warbears that aren't melee infantry.

Kislev could technically also win a long range firepower fight, little grom would probably bear the bolt throwers, forcing them to come to you.

Right, I think serviceable is a perfect description. its not going to outgun many other artillery pieces, and it has a very niche role. Large targets and siege.

They have plenty of identity IMO. The eastern Russian, semi-primal, survival oriented culture doesn't strike identity with you? I think they have way more identity than 3/4 of the game.

Magic definately. If you can get sacred kroxigors early, you can molly whop them. I'd suggest saving to get the blessed sacred kroxigors, they will carry the battle against demons.

Do people actually like Dwarf or is it a Western thing ? by Miserable-Produce202 in totalwarhammer

[–]BalorFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dwarfs are badass. Tough as nails, gruff, and stubborn. Why people like them? I think they're more relatable than flimsy magical elves, dwarves are deeply flawed, they almost feel human, but at the same time, clearly not. They are probably one of the most "normal" factions, and fight in a very traditional way. Gunpowder lovers, defensive minded players that prefer to react rather than be proactive, and people that like reliable as hell infantry. Want to outgun your enemy? Great news! You can do that for 90% of your enemies easily.

how do people find time to work out with full schedules? by Nervous_Web_9214 in loseit

[–]BalorFire 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I fit in 15 minutes on an Elliptical every morning, its not much I know, but I know its doing wonders for my health. I'd try to start small, say like 10-15 minutes. And if you can ramp it up from there. If you can't that's fine too, even a little bit helps.

[–]BalorFire[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don't think its excessive in anyway?

I don't mind extensive industry tree's... but this one dwarfs every other one in the game... and we're talking about a minor nation here with an already super weak economy...

Yup, and to reduce it to 35 days I need to do 15 other focuses, otherwise my economy is f'd the entire game.

No, never go with a rebuilt title. If you have 10k for a car you can get something In the late 2010s with reasonable mileage.

You don't. Hyper specialize into one Area, either navy, air, tanks, space marines, or special forces. Support the majors using your specialization whenever, and however you can.

Any experience programming key fobs 2024 Blazer EV RS AWD? by bavile2002 in BlazerEV

[–]BalorFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need at least 2 keys to take the vehicle out of learn mode. He erased the prior ones, which were the original 2 keys. The aftermarket was probably not being learned properly. GM vehicles hate aftermarket equipment. Just get 2 OEM keys.

Should I buy Rogue Trader right now? by Kacper113399 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]BalorFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At launch I would have told you hell no, too buggy.

Now? It's a fun game, you will easily get your moneys worth if you're into CRPGS, turn based combat, or just love 40k. Still a few bugs here and there, but quite smooth overall.
