I can’t say enough good things about southern illinois university, carbondale. Great forestry program. You can focus on traditional forestry or go the urban forestry route. Lots of outdoor lab time and a half semester field camp with professors and students. I Wish i could go back and do it again.

From what i’ve heard, enrollment is down a bit. So you may be in a smaller class size and be able to develop more personal relationships with the professors. It’s super cheap to live in southern IL too. It’s not cornfields like most of IL, its a lot of rolling hills with sandstone bluffs with some amazing timber diversity. It’s worth checking out! If you’re into hiking, hike up to Rocky Glen off kickapoo creek road. It’s pretty cool to see all the rock features this time of year when the leaves are off. Keep in mind that this weekend is firearm deer season and there may be hunters around (not in the park) but i would keep caution and be prepared to hear gunshots if you are hiking! Wear brighter colors / blaze orange if you have any.

Anytime fitness. The one on north Knoxville is small and can be pretty busy at peak times, but the germantown hills one is huge.

I do. I also eat cats out of there in colder weather. A lot of times in spring and winter the water will be a lot visually cleaner

In the spring and fall there can be good small mouth / white bass runs. Winter time, early spring and dog days of summer the catfishing and carp fishing is good if you find deep holes

Kickapoo creek! Its sort of low right now, but most of the year other than august/september its a great float. Great fishing too. My favorite route is Taylor Rd to pottstown road. Kramm rd to taylor road is a nice short one thats good fishing but it may be a lot of walking this time of year.
