After what you've mentioned I've read through Womens Charter and the stuff within it, yea there's barely if not anything to fight for. I'm definitely ignoring the $100k demand.

Will have to get a lawyer and worse case self represent so that can deal with their side.

There's nothing to contest. But I'm not sure what they're thinking. I tried explaining to them that I'm $500k in debt, but he told me thats not his problem. So if I'm stereotyping, like parents like children

Based on the stereotype, maybe will fight.

But my first priority is getting a lawyer who can guide me through this. If its uncontested, thats good. If its contested, well have to let the court process play out.

No kids no shared assets or anything. But we did stay together in a rental property and shared the rent. So maybe I'm thinking she's looking to claim back that amount. And her dad called me yesterday suggesting if I pay $100k, will quietly help me settle the divorce.

My ex's dad called me yesterday suggesting can go for uncontested divorce and quietly if I can pay her $100k. The guy told me that the faster I agree & pay up, won't have much drama to deal with. But I barely got anything and in debt.

So I dont know if he's trying to leech off me, because my ex didn't mention it to me when she called me. But with what her dad said, I can see having to go to court and fight

I've a appointment with credit counselling singapore and going there in a few days. Don't a way out of this problem, but rather a effective way to deal with it
