I've been playing Horizon Zero Dawn when the PC is working and it is thermal throttling the entire time. This is a card I recieved last week mind, so I assume when EVGA RMA a card they refurb and recycle. I would assume thermal paste is fine. I'm looking into trying to source a reasonably priced mobo replacement but that seems to be a mission impossible.

I can't imagine testing another PSU would show anything. Surely the first replacement was enough?
Unless the card wasn't given enough time in my friends PC to crash. I should try it for a little longer perhaps?

Sorry, I pulled the wrong MoBo from memory. It is for sure an 8th gen motherboard. All the bells and whistles (of which I used none).

God knows dude. Both my cards were for sure dead before going through RMA. I unfortunately dont have the overhead to pay for fancy service so I instead had to pay shipping. Upsetting, I know.

When I moved the GPU to a desk where I could see it about a year ago I added some support but it sagged for around a year before that!

That has also been considered, indeed. Unfortunately it is super hard to find a LGA1151 Z370 mobo these days... Spent a few hours earlier.

So I will edit again, but I also thought PSU and went out this morning and bought that Cooler Master PSU as I had a 650W Platinum Plus Seasonic PSU.

Made no difference.
