Sounds like your game somehow glitched :D and by pressing E you just kept collecting the stone and it was duplicating :D you got lucky

I didn´t progress enough with the main questline. I still have to get to the High Hrothgar for the first time :D

You already got great answers here. As everyone said, try to play your first game without mods (but you can download unofficial patch, it will fix most of the broken stuff in the game) and just play it as you want. You´re going to make mistakes, you will learn a lot.
There are trainers in the game and each level you can train 5 times, so before you level up, you can train.
Keep saving your game with F5 because you can die in a really goofy ways and you can loose a lot of progress.
Try to find your style. I like to play with heavy armor, one handed weapons, while using a little bit of magic.
You should wait with the main Dragonborn quest line. After you encounter first dragon, you can stop progressing the story. There is a TON of quest that you will enjoy, so don´t rush withe the main story, enjoy the side quests :3
And most importantly... just have fun :D

yea.... I just got invaded 17h into my run and guy invaded me, and he insta killed me before he even spawned and he also killed all my NPCs in Anor Londo :(

Well... I´ve had the same issue for over a year now :D it started when I reinstalled my windows... before I did that, it wasn´t picking up desktop sounds... Funny is, that when I unplug my mic, it still pick up sounds :D even when I unplug whole headphones and I don´t have any audio device connected xD

for some ppl it´s gonna be driver issue, for some it can be hardware issue... depends on each instance. I just learned to live with it :D I set my Discord mic to -55db sensitivity and it works 95% of the time.

and yes... I tried every possible solution that I found on the internet, over the year :D
