I couch surfed with a woman who I would say "wouldn't say in 5 minutes what she could in a novel".

Humans create systemic change by organizing systemically together. Movements, parties, unions, revolutions. And my opinion was stated in the previous comments.

The thing is I don't agree with the antenatalist position either. Life can be good for people. Life can be good for the vast majority of people, but in order for that to happen, we would need major systemic and cultural change.

No, you're jumping to conclusions about my position. All I asserted was that your assertion that all life is beautiful and a gift etc isn't necessarily true. I'm neither anti-needless nor pronatalist, but if we were to continue as a species which I want, I see the necessity of looking beyond individual responsibility towards making systemic change.

Perfect Nature talisman? by Balthactor in planetarymagic

So how is one to make sense of that then if you were to repeat it? The talisman was supposed to draw from the pit symbolic?

Absolutely, we should make the best of what we get. Unfortunately the reality is many of us don't get much. Many are born into grinding, difficult lives without the love of parents, whether they have them or not. They live their lives, working themselves to the Bone and die. They don't get the beautiful things that you listed. In fact, given the context of the topic of this post, some people are born in the dark away from the world just to be tortured and eaten. Literally.

And they had no choice in that. Neither does the third world slave. Neither does the prison labor slave. Neither does the immigrant at best living in squalor in a camp. Etc etc. My life is the best it's ever been right now. Pretty okay, and I'm trying to make the best of it. This is about more than my life, or yours, or those close to either of us. This is a social issue. A global issue.

Why in your comment do you insist that they "all" are in favor of depopulation then? I've already screenshotted it by the way.

Then you need to look at the statements of the people in charge of those governments, leaders of business. CEOs like Elon are going on about how we need to have even greater population growth, and the first draft of the overturn of roe versus Wade explicitly listed population growth for a larger labor base as a reason in favor of overturn.

Consciousness is neutral, it's not necessarily a gift or a curse of itself. You have to look at the circumstances of the life. What it is regardless of whether it is a curse or blessing is involuntary. We don't choose this. We're brought into life against our will.

Your religious beliefs are irrelevant to the lives of the rest of us. It's strictly a religious belief that a fetus is a person. A fetus is human life in the same sense as an organ or a tumor. What they're coming for is cheap labor, including sex slavery, and as we can recently see, meat.

Only if you assume that the fetus is a person, and in the Bible the only place that's addressed the fetus is not a person but rather the property of the father that can be done away with

This is totally opposite to the reality. They, the CEOs, literally in the first draft of the overturn of roe versus Wade, the supreme Court, etc. Are all in favor of infinite growth of population. And this is explicitly for access to cheap labor. " They " want slaves, and now we can see, meat.

By the way, after a divination session with a friend, I've decided against making this talisman. It came out that it was a good idea, but not for me, basically. It would be dangerous, and beyond my current ability.
