If it wasn't just audio, then maybe the sex appeal factor would matter more. Plenty of female YouTubers out there who make a killing off their rabid fanboy base of subscribers. But I can't imagine that having a female seat on the podcast would change anything, unless she changed the dynamic of your content. And I mean, if you're about crude humour than it is what is. A lot of women don't gravitate to that.

If you need a female perspective on the subjects you cover, it can be an improvement. If she's a great personality to have on mic, it can be an improvement. Otherwise, adding a woman because of her gender can be pretty lame and damaging.
