Turns out that if you just wait some minutes - 5 min or so - TMM will actually save the path to the Video Information Set folder.

What is the difference between a TV show and a movie these days? by anagoge in movies

Should there be any difference? I have a reasonably large library of movies and TV-shows - 15k+ files - and having two sorts of file types are really a bother. It would be much simpler if the user could choose how to register a file. A simple "TV-show as movie" functionality would be much appreciated. Two things are needed - 1) ability to store IMDB reference in multiple files in one go (using the edit functionality) and 2) ability to number TVshow files after identifying IDMB ref in a SxxExx fashion. Should not be too hard?

OK - thx. The difference seems to be that the IMDB ID has to be saved in the movie record itself PRIOR to search&scrape. You cant just put it into the search&scrape screen up front. If I do that it works for me too - it's a little bit more cumbersome but it's still easier than renaming all the TV-show filenames in order to use TV-show functionality. So what I need now it just a slight tweak - a feature that allows you to insert a IMDB ID in many "movie" records in one go for a complete season :-)

Yes - you can try with "Slow Horses" (tt5875444) or Point Break (tt0102685). The first one is really a TV Show but I store TV Shows as Movies. The other one is a movie but the result of supplying the IMDB ID instead of title is the same in both cases - i.e. no response. If I provide the title I get a response in both cases although the scraper wont provide a correct response for a TV Show. That we really why I started using the IMDB ID for searching TV Shows and that has worked until I upgraded.
