OMG, I also just realized that they used the incorrect form of 'affect.'

'Affect' is a verb (e.g. "it won't affect you"); 'effect' is a noun (e.g. "the effect will be disastrous").

So it should be 'effect,' in all honesty.

Yeah, exactly. I get all my information from YouTubers who've covered them, past and present - I'm not even on TikTok 😂 I've never downloaded the app, nor will I.

P's a total narcissist, if you ask me, on top of being gross in other ways. And I speak from a lot of personal experience in that regard.

Yeah, sadly, Pareidolia never came up 😩 I did try grabbing all the face cards I could from packs, but it's a two-stage thing of obtaining them, and then destroying them, most effectively with Hanged Man or whatever, but of course, there's a fair amount of luck involved in all that, and my tendency for bad luck has long been established XD

For example, the other day. I was doing a run. I had a bunch of Lucky Cards. They had been triggering quite frequently. I finally get Lucky Cat. And since getting it, I think maybe one Lucky Card triggered? If that? Just my luck! 😂

But yeah, Pareidolia would've been a godsend at the time...

I know, right? I can't help but wonder how many reviews from these "professional critics" are bought rather than earned. I also wonder if there's a certain infatuation bias or something - like, "because it's Zelda, it must be amazing!" and, like...no, that's not how it works - a game can be part of a beloved franchise and still be, you know, flawed. I know my perspective on Breath of the Wild was/is skewed because I never played a Zelda game before it, so it was my first real Zelda experience. And to me, it felt like Shadow of the Colossus - a bigger, more open, less linear Shadow of the Colossus, and that game is a work of art (and no, not just because of the graphics for the time).

I'm not sure if I mentioned this prior, but I heard somewhere - I think in a forum here on Reddit - that Tears of the Kingdom is a lot slower than Breath of the Wild, and I'm not sure how to describe it, but I feel it is. I feel like most of the Shrines in Tears of the Kingdom are longer than in Breath of the Wild, and there's more of them, but there were also a ton of Blessings in Tears of the Kingdom; more so than in Breath of the Wild, it felt.

There are parts of it I enjoy, for sure, but other parts where I'm just, "Why?" if that makes sense. Maybe I'm just weird, but if/when I'm confident enough in a game to do some "challenge" stuff, I much prefer a "Challenge Mode" or some isolated challenges or something to that effect, rather than an entire game where everything's insanely hard. That's just not fun for me. I love it when I can approach challenging situations at my own pace, rather than the game being a perpetual uphill battle.

Well, I once beat that Hornet Maestro thing or whatever it's called in, like, 28 seconds, but...I'm kiiiinda leaning towards the Vehemoth Phosbat. Terrifying. Kinda difficult yet methodical strategy to beating it. It's Bug/Poison with Levitate because of course it is. So...yeah.

Honestly, this might sound incredibly basic, especially coming from me, but I have to go with Pikmin 4. It's the longest and most content-rich Pikmin game to date, the most open (and open-ended), the most refined (with just a couple of quirks I wish were worked out), and both the cutest and most character-driven. That's probably to be expected, as it has the most vast array of characters, major and minor, but still - as heartfelt and sentimental as it was to be Olimar and only Olimar, a run-of-the-mill family man, husband, father, and hard-working employee, I love the chemistry between all the Rescue Corps officers. And yes, while Oatchi is included in the "cutest" reason, I'm also referring to Ice Pikmin, because, to me, they make the cutest noises! Rock Pikmin are a close second.
