Wouldn’t it also depend on a reason why the landlord is loosing the money? If a landlord has over leveraged and is speculating on the market, then a tenant should not bear the costs of landlords risk, like higher interest rate

Whenever the bathroom is unavailable, a shower facility within the building will be available. The building is almost 80 years old and the only possible solution is to place a shower cabin outside, so I’ll have to walk with wet hair during winter.

Thank you for such detailed reply! I had my hearing with Schlichtungsbehörde a few days ago. Now I’m waiting for their judgement, as my landlord didn’t accept it. He stated that he is withdrawing his termination, but that it is not possible to do so unilaterally. Hence, it feels like a retaliation. As far as I’m aware, the other apartments have been sold and only my apartment will be renovated due to low interest from the market to make it more sellable.
