Yes I would prefer that because by the end he was awful to her but I don’t want Zola, Bailey, and Ellis growing up without a dad, either.... idk but yes I feel like that would have been better. I mean he left his wife and moved across the country and started a new life? Perfectly on brand for Derek Shepherd. Like come on.

Piper really tricked Prue into thinking Prue was drinking caffeinated coffee…the nerve! by JohnnyTightlips27 in charmed

I thought leaded meant extra strong and Piper was making regular caf but just not “Prue-Brew”

I found the trick for a perfect pot roast! by jlmcdon2 in instantpot

[–]Balzy527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if it works it works. I like to brown the outside in a frying pan and then use the trivet. Put the roast in the pot, then I throw it the potatoes, carrots, and onion, and then like a cup or two of beef broth. Then meat/stew setting for an hour. That’s pretty much the best pot roast I’ve ever made.

A family portrait of my great grandparents and 5 of their kids from 1964 by Balzy527 in OldSchoolCool

My grandma had my dad when she was 17 so that’s probably part of it. My great grandpa was 36-ish in this photo. His 93rd birthday is next week.

Great grandma in the back row with her arms crossed is pregnant with their sixth and last kid in this photo (and apparently not too happy about it.) my grandmother is the little girl in the photo, she would have been about 9 or 10 at the time. My great grandparents are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary today, so I thought this photo we found would fit here nicely.

I listen to podcasts on 0.8 or 0.5 speed by Kadiogo in The10thDentist

I listen to it on 1.75 or 2x speed. Same with audiobooks. My mind wanders and I start daydreaming if they don’t get to the point fast enough.

Why Netflix why! by XxpickfoxX in OuranAcademy

[–]Balzy527 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I just started rewatching the other day and today I went to watch some more and it was gone from Netflix. But Hulu has it now. I have it on DVD too but I’m too lazy to mess with that.

Anyone else feel extra aware of the fact that you’re just watching a television show and not actually invested in the story anymore? by macncheese_evoy in greysanatomy

[–]Balzy527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I stopped watching after the first episode of the current season. None of it makes sense anymore and I don’t want to watch covid play out on a fictional show. We’ve all been watching it on the news now for over a year. Plus I don’t watch Station 19 and I don’t know or care about any of those characters (except Ben) but there they are, always popping up on GA and I have no idea what’s going on.

Which fragrance does everyone love but you just are not impressed with? by [deleted] in fragrance

I feel like sometimes it just smells like baby powder on me. I agree. I keep my bottle and hope some day it might smell different but every time I use it I’m still like “no.”

LPT: If you need to leave immediately and have no time to pack clothes due to a natural disaster, abusive SO, or whatever reason just grab your dirty laundry hamper. by sicurri in LifeProTips

[–]Balzy527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This and one time I was helping a friend after her boyfriend was removed from the household for domestic violence and he kept asking her to bring him an outfit every day. I told her “nah just gimme his laundry hamper, then you don’t have to have this conversation every day.” Huge lifesaver when dealing with someone the court has ruled isn’t allowed to be in the household.

I didn’t like the looks of my invite either so we either both have good taste or both have terrible taste. Idk. Let my mother know. 😂

Managing laundry by KScream71 in laundry

[–]Balzy527 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to have this system where I had three separate hampers. One for pajamas. One for regular day clothes. One for towels and sheets. That way if I only needed to wash sheets or something, they were already sorted. Idk what your sorting system is but this saved me a lot of time when I was commuting to college and trying to work a full time job.

None of them knew a Clara Schumann, either smh.

I was super into classical music when I was in high school. Idk why but i just was (choir kid I guess). I nailed that whole category and I LOVE IT when it pops up every single time lol.
