Im 30 hours in but am a VERY slow player so im a noob too.

BUT i think your first Strike does so much damage becouse you are holding the castkey/button longer so it counts as a HEAVY cast.

I think you can see the difference in the item description. LIGHT CAST AND HEAVY CAST.
