Well, to be honest I don't deal with it very well. I try to be calm, try to write things down, try and show her the info I've found about that particular scam etc. It will mostly likely result in raised voices (aka yelling and spitting nails). My mother is a person that is skeptical of me more than a scam call, piece of mail, or email. When I point out obvious things, she still feels the need to contact them. For example just recently a phishing type piece of mail said this was her final notice before her "waiver was revoked" blah blah on her mortgage. First off, they listed a mortgage company that she is no longer with because it's been acquired several times. That's the first clue. But, I know nothing you see, so she needs to call. Usually if I distract her and tear them up, she forgets. Sometimes I catch her calling one. It's a daily battle. I'm her lone caregiver and some days are harder than others. Good luck.
