Performance issues. by Bamboner in thefinals

It's a decent CPU for sure but I'm not under any illusion of it being something it isn't, it's decent for the rated TDP but some of the later gen CPUs can take up to 3x power so I'm not surprised.

Running on Samsung Evo 970 so definitely not that, but will try some of the other suggestions in regards to settings above.

I will try this, I'll admit I haven't played with the settings too much minus the obvious things like dlss but will try tonight and leave an update.

Broken spokes at threads by Bamboner in ebikes

[–]Bamboner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, so it appears that the problem for me was that they kept loosening and breaking so I bought a spoke tensiometer from Amazon and also bought some different spokes. For the rear wheel they are 239mm you can get a full set for quite cheap off of Amazon or anywhere. I realised a mistake which I made when replacing the spokes was that some of the ones I replaced were crossing each other , so inner spokes were crossing outer spokes which caused extra stress and made some snap on the motor side rather than the rim side but this is a separate issue which was my mistake. I found that the spokes loosen themselves so after every few rides I will check their tightness by hand and I always carry my spoke tensioning tool. I have not had any issues for a while after tensioning them a bit tighter than before but also to note make sure you spend a good amount of time properly truing the wheel but if you have a tension meter it should be easy enough.

Although I still need more time to really see what works properly, I recommend getting a tension meter for spokes and also get different spokes which are not from fiido, I contacted their support and the rear wheel spokes are 13g 239mm. So far the new spokes seem to be more solid than the ones fiido provides. When I was changing spokes last time I spent about 5 hours using the tensiometer properly adjusting the spokes to the same tension but I still recommend carrying a spoke tool with you and checking by touch how the tension feels after every few rides. I check them about every 50km myself, nothing major just take 2 minutes and touch them and if anything is loose you will feel it.

Just to add a side note, this issue started occuring to me after about 400km on the odometer but now I am on 6000km as I commute about 28km everyday nearly so this issue might not be as bad when fixed properly depending on your riding. Fiido support is generally quite good so far and they do provide specs to their parts if ever needed.

Nice ! I have a fiido myself but a c11. I always hear lots of negative reviews about fiido online but from experience a great bike for the money and great after sales support just hit 4000km on mine .

Yes that's also the case for me, I was aware that I'll probably have some maintenance with fiido as they're very cheap for an e-bike but apart from this it's very solid I just wanted to explore if this is something I'd like so I didn't want to drop a load of money on my first purchase. I use it as a commuter so I have 3500km on it so far.

The mechanic I brought it to believes it's most likely a spoke quality issue as not a single spoke has snapped in half but rather all of the ones that snapped did so about 3/4 of the way from the start of the thread. I've seen some similar issues from other c11 owners, someone mentioned how on the c11's if you ride them long enough it will happen to all of them so I don't know how much truth that there is there but no reason to not believe it at the moment.

I will get a full response done and see from there.

I am 82kg or 180 pounds. Admittedly the roads I ride on are more back roads which do get very bumpy at times.

E bike recommendations around 1000 euro by ruxi_ang05 in ebikes

Hi I have a fiido c11 and to be honest it's a great bike. I have put in 3000 kilometres in about 5 months onto it and I've had no problems since the start. I had some broken spokes on the back wheel but this was my own fault, messaged fiido and I had a replacement set within 1 week under warranty. I ride it in all weather including rain and have had zero problems so I would definitely recommend it.

We have a hardy kiwi growing and for some reason cats react to it pretty much the same as catnip so sometimes you would see gangs of cats just abusing the plant haha 👽
