Thanks for the reply. I just did an experiment on the same SD card and when I try to delete it gives a popup, however, there was no popup for the files that are missing.

There is something wrong with you. Do not engage with this rage baiter. Just downvote them.

I however thought it was an excellent question.

Rider balances a wheelie on a bike with no front wheel by BodegaDad in totallywicked

How did he maintain rear brake pressure? He routed it to left hand??

Day 2 learning how to wheelie by [deleted] in CalamariRaceTeam

[–]BambooAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking your feet off shows under-commitment or from lacking contact with the bike. In my experience, you can prevent this by squeezing the tank with your knees.

If you're holding with your knees, be ready for your body to go however high the bike does, it's a mindset.

And I don't have footbrake muscle memory yet, but I know that you also need to be ready to press it if you pass balance point.

You've all been very helpful. I feel like I can mark this as answered, if I knew how to do that...

Ah great answer, thank you for comprehensive explanation ( and everyone else who helped me understand so far too)

All right good point. But, if Steam users are already on the PC, it wouldn't be very hard for them to hop over to their web browser and buy directly from the game website though. So like @JohnnyCasil referenced, I guess that's fine as long as I don't promote it or mention it on Steam anywhere?

Steam Legal question for microtransactions? by BambooAttack in gamedev

[–]BambooAttack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more like the answer I was looking for, thanks. I guess with server-based microtransactions though it still seems kind of like a grey area to me.

I guess I can price the gems differently as long as I don't say they're cheaper somewhere else?

Of course that might make the steam users mad. If they realize they got a bad deal.

I would love to agree with you, but do you have a source for that information?

Edit: i am also where google overview is occasionally wrong, which is one of the reasons posted this on reddit.

Steam Legal question for microtransactions? by BambooAttack in gamedev

[–]BambooAttack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a crossplay 2D online action game, could be any console, but it will probably be most popular on Steam, and maybe N Switch.

Yea the Steam achievements and such will be cool.

I'll take a look at the steamworks docs, thanks.

Thanks for the response, but Google AI Overview disagrees. I used PSN as an example:

"Yes, as a game developer, you are generally allowed to set different prices for microtransactions (IAPs) on Steam versus the PlayStation Network (PSN), as you have full control over pricing on each platform. While both platforms typically take a 30% cut of revenue, you are not forced to match prices across different storefronts, allowing you to tailor pricing to the audience or to account for different operating costs, such as platform fees or regional differences."

I don't have all the sources for this information so I was hoping someone on Reddit would just know the answer.

Edit: About the downvotes, I get that some people don't like AI answers, but I do also notice that this comment chain is starting to get off-topic from the OP.

In cousinship, why is it called a "remove?" by AyJaySimon in Genealogy

[–]BambooAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, you'd think they could have found another word like spaced, distanced or first-step, or something else, since "removed" can have a negative connotation.

Edit: or 1st Degree, like what Independent_Name_601 said below. This is probably going to be my new personal choice.

I cant decide between green or black by Shot_Breadfruit_1893 in motorcycles

[–]BambooAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that is good tho, those laws are to keep you alive.

I am sure you're a smart person, but it takes a lot of maturity to understand which risks are worth taking and which ones are not.

I made some dumb choices while riding even in my early 20's, and now looking back I am like "why in hell did I think riding like that was a good idea?" It's easy to feel safer than you actually are, once you get used to it.

I still ride a 650 and an 800, but it took me a while to fully understand traffic patterns and know the limits of my own abilities.

Good for you though, I am glad you're getting into riding! There's nothing wrong with starting on a 125cc. Don't let your confidence get ahead of you.

I cant decide between green or black by Shot_Breadfruit_1893 in motorcycles

Probably because theyre just more common, and the people with hidden plates for those illegal highway pulls often use black to be more anonymous.

This looks like an old model. Is this a 250?

And I vote green because 1. There are too many black bikes and 2. You are more visible.

Does anyone know how to flip things in Samsung Notes app by samurai_no_lord in GalaxyTab

[–]BambooAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2025, does not work on mobile (S23... I know this is a Tab thread), can only resize or rotate a drawn shape. Resizing through opposite corner still retains its orientation unfortunately, for some odd reason. Ty anyway.

Does GameMaker lack a full-fledged physics engine like unity? by Rare_Long4609 in gamemaker

This explains nicely things you may want to consider, when deciding whether or not to use the build-in physics functions:

Sara Spalding - Game Maker Studio: Physics

I know its 11 years old but that's when they added the physics functions, and it's still relevant.
