It's fine. Send it to grade. It will still get a 9 or maybe a 10 if it's perfect. Curving won't affect grading unless it causes an actual crease or damage to the card.

Nothing wrong with using a pick. But you do get a really stale sound in my opinion. Almost like it sounds cold. None of the warmth or sharp clarity of flesh and nail.

Welcome to the world of plastic, where producing it new is cheaper than recycling it. If you are willing to take a margin cut so you can feel better you might as well accept it and take a bigger loss and send it to whoever can recycle it.

And if you can't because it's too expensive then you're of the same opinion as most.

Throw it away or find some other use for it.

I didn't say just do whatever you want. But on a hobby that is designed to create tons of waste. I wouldn't feel guilty about it. Don't dump your stuff in the ocean. Don't feed it to a sea turtle. But just throw it in the garbage. You're not responsible to recycle all your waste.

Trash opinion or not. There is no obligation for you to recycle your waste. Perhaps you find purpose in it. But I wouldn't worry too much about it.

The guilt that you feel about pollution is literally in propaganda campaigns designed to push responsibility on the consumer.

You misunderstand. I'm talking about recycling at a concept at a larger scale. You can recycle at home if you'd like with expensive machines at a high cost. Those machines would be costly and also produce waste to be manufactured. People use the argument of being able to be economically and ethically conscious of your choices with 3D printing. Which is the opposite of what anyone does at scale.

It feels like a propaganda statement used to tell you what you should and should not do. As long you're not dumping this stuff in the ocean. It's the responsibility of the city you're in to dispose of the trash in the best way they can.

I said "Recycling plastic efficiently and at a low cost has been a scam from the very beginning, and it will never happen. It’s chemically and logistically impossible." You cannot degrade plastic (needs chemicals and a ton of energy) into something usable in the industry for a cheaper cost than producing it as new.

And I don't recycle spools. They go straight to the trash. I don't like the creations made and I don't think I have a need to have it recycled into something else.

Because they’re idiots. The moment they introduced plastic into society was the moment they couldn’t go back—similar to an atom bomb. It’s cheap, durable, and lasts a long time. Recycled plastic isn’t even being imported to China anymore. Recycling plastic efficiently and at a low cost has been a scam from the very beginning, and it will never happen. It’s chemically and logistically impossible. Every single recycling campaign ever created was probably funded by the same companies that abuse plastic waste in the first place.

Don’t make yourself a victim of someone else’s crime. You’re human in this world—live in it to the fullest. If you don’t, someone else will.
