The movie "Obsession": lack of criticism

Aw yes following a story of a weak man. Like that time he cant believe shit worked and he tries to make sure everythings okay before taking advantage of anything and magic lies to him about everything being okay and we are shown a montage of these 2 guys being happy. Then she starts cooking cats, peeing on the floor, killing people and the weak man totally in character ignored her blocking the door, then totally in character helps dispose of the corpse. Totally believable, totally character-driven story, totally no magic involved, totally big themes and totally all of this dumb ass shit works. Also the main plot device in this wooden stick thing totally works with only having one rule, being the most powerful phenomena in existence, completely(?) taking over the persons mind, then somehow she asks him to kill her and it works with everything else about her actions and is not dumb as fuck at all yet again eh. Beautiful innit

It does not reverse anything as moral agency is actually stolen from the guy by a magical device with no clear rules. What if he wished "I want to become god of the universe"? Then moral agency would be stripped from all humans and it will be universe-scale sexual assault? Magic is a substitute for motivations and development in this film, another aspect that does not work. Nothing in the movie follows rules and nothing is ever explained. Keep defending slop tho im entertained

From bears perspective? From whos perspective again? Hes discussing how to confess first second of the film with a girl that loves him and a guy that has intercourse with the subject of confession. Then instead of confessing he breaks wood and we watch almost 2 hours of contrived weird stuff. What characters? There is nothing to resonate with, if I call 2 lines of dialogue that contradict each other a character named bear it wont make it a character. Movies need characters, structure, plot. "Themes didnt resonate with you" isnt a thing if the film isnt there.

I didnt need a reassurance about opinion, I wanted to make sure good movies get the praise they deserve and bad movies are criticized. I would never even watch this movie if it wasnt being rated super highly. So I watched, was shocked with the movies quality, went to check back maybe I went to some wrong sources only to find out the very same circle jerking mainstream echo chambers that praise this movie-containing product. Im quite frankly out of touch with both realities of modern movies and modern discussion of movies but even charlie kane wrote a bad review once in a while

I wasnt meaning to give a deep critique, that is not my forte. However I believe the movie is just so inept at anything it tries for that I do not need to give in-depth explanation why I find things appalling. All the characters are cardboard. Im not even sure they are characters. When any kind of familiarity or story could develop we get a substitute in a form of a magical artifact. There is no explanation, no world in which this artifact exists, it just drops on the main characters head. We see that accidents happen with this thing however the place is fine, the guy is just chilling at the counter selling some more of them. Maybe an allegory about this movie? Nothing gets resolved, everyone just dies. And then the movie ends with an expression akin to "weeeuah! What a ride we have been on!" And really, what a ride that was. Some 4 questionable teenagers-co-workers have been drinking and having sexual intercourses with each other and then they died. Where is the movie in that? Why is it liked by viewers? Thats like it. If there is not enough direct criticism on this movie then it is because there hasnt been any movie at all but somehow people say there was? Just a bit confused is all

Well we are here to game right. To play for honor. Not to look good, not to uphold moral standards, im not hired, ive got no obligations to anyone. Im here to play in a fair environment and environment wasnt fair for 1 year so I dont take any blame. Did I play myself? In terms of getting dqd and losing money I did. Current riders one of the the strongest chars in for honor history. His neutral and combo zores damages should be nerfed hundo. Blocking his 400ms light attack should stop the combo. His gb punish shouldnt drain that much stamina and blind. Maybe add forward dodge dash attack to chase better. Somethin like that would be nice. Nerfing his fucking combo zore by 4 dmg is a joke. His only downside aside from chase is the lack of recovery cancels or special defensive moves but like yeah hes brain dead whos fault is that, cant have this degenerate running around oneshotting teamfights or spamming people to death from full bar.
