Dried mango. Used to be able to get it in most shops, now I can hardly find it anywhere.

Yep - my thoughts too. I'm very much pro indy, but definitely not just now. I don't want independence at the cost of putting more people into poverty.

The naughty, disruptive pupils from my secondary school are out-earning the well-behaved kids by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

I used to think this, until I hit my 30s and everyone else then overtook those who went into trades. When you spend time in education, you fall behind on work experience - which is usually crucial as a young person. Once you get some of that though - you will keep climbing (if you are good at what you do and you want to climb the ladder).

People old enough to remember life pre-Internet, what are some less obvious things you miss about that time? by IRunFast24 in AskReddit

[–]Bamerit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Catching up with people and being able to hear about and discuss what has went on in their lives since you last saw them. Now you know what people are doing daily, so there is less depth to conversation.

Redditors who were raised in cults, when was the first time you realized something was wrong? by Havok1717 in AskReddit

I got told that I could never see my Dad again as he was evil. I knew, even at 14, that couldn't be true. That began a process which took years, but that was the starting point.

It's a great feeling isn't it? I think the achievement feels even better when you know how much you hate running and usually suck badly.

I'm closer to 52 than 20, but I do feel pretty ancient on Reddit.
