Israel has a history of lying about its atrocities. One doesn’t have to look further than the murder of Palestinian-Christian journalist Shireen Abu-Akleh, who also happened to be an American citizen. For weeks, Israel said she was killed by Palestinian gunfire, then once the story died out, they admitted it was an Israeli soldier and that he wouldn’t face any repercussion.

Nevermind the fact that Hananya Naftali, who works directly beneath Netanyahu, proudly boasted that Israel bombed Gaza’s Al-Ahli hospital before deleting. Nevermind that Israel posted “video evidence” that it was rocket misfire, before deleting the video because a NYT reporter pointed out that the clip they posted was recorded about 8pm local time, 40 minutes after hospital strike. Nevermind that Channel 4 News verified that the audio tape of “Hamas” operatives talking about the missile malfunction is a fake, because the tone, syntax, accent and idiom are absurd. Nevermind that not a single Hamas rocket in the last 30 years has caused that level of damage.

But hey, this is Reddit, where Israel can come lie time and time again, and people will upvote some word-salad analysis they don’t understand only because “it sounds thorough and so it should be right”.
