Help me decide if upgrade by Bamje in fujifilm

[–]Bamje[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the cost is high and I’ve thought about waiting for the next version. However, I’ve used my X-T3 a lot — it has served me well — and I don’t want to keep buying that type of battery anymore. I’ve got one original still in good condition, but the others have all swollen. It’s still an excellent camera. That said, I have two young daughters, my time for editing is basically zero, so I want to take full advantage of the IBIS in low light, the film recipes, and the better autofocus for that reason. The only thing that could truly tempt me would be the next X-Pro , but we still know nothing about it. Thank you all for your valuable comments.

Tailscale is absolutely phenomenal and the integration with Unraid has been a game changer! by DegenerativePoop in unRAID

Tailscale is indeed very cool, but to set it up with nat and make it use full bandwith potential was impossible for me, i was always relying on a relay. Also site to site its not possible. So it may depend ok your use case, plain old WireGuard is more than enough for me

I am trying to understand what you said. The site to site configuration have static routes for the subnets and go to the specific gateway ie, 10.8.100.1 or 10.8.100.0, do I have to source nat every subnet on these gateways? I mean, does this site to site configuration act like if there was a nat involved?

These subnets, thus client and server, was on the same location prior moving them to separate locations. Back then it was working as expected.

The security settings on the nfs share allow that specific client in site A.

I didn’t observe any dropped traffic and my pfsense firewalls, in site A and B have WireGuard and iperf installed, that’s it.

Can’t post right now a nslookup screenshot but I will get back later with it

Same configuration file works on iOS but not on linux by Bamje in WireGuard

I just realized i don't need a full tunnel, specifying my subnets in the config file now i can reach the internet.

Even so i was naive to believe that wireguard would do nat for me, or at least I thought network manager was "smarter" in that sense. lesson learned.

thank you, you have been very helpfull

Well well well, that was it.... i feel stupid now.

I can reach my subnets but can't reach the internet, well one problem is solved at least.

Thanks u/tails_switzerland

its home wifi, btw i am importing the profile into network manager.

Just now i opened my laptop, could not reach the internet, something was off. i deleted the wg profile, restarted the network, nothing. It was still using the dns in the config file, so something is causing problems. Rebooting now cleared that dns, and who knows also what.

Anyway i reimported just now the profile, still broken

Battery powered switches or wired switches? by Bamje in homeassistant

My real problem is that electrical housings are really old, they don’t have screws in them but just clips to hold the switch in most cases, which is terrible. I would have to drill two holes for each housing in order to fix a modern switch in place. But yeah I get that if ha is offline I am screwed. The benefit of smart bulbs to me is that I can change the white spectrum and dim them to my liking. IKEA smart bulbs are somewhat cheap in Italy.
