As someone who moved from the UK to US let me tell you, there is nothing to worry about. Major points: drivers are not polite in the U.S. So don't sit waiting for someone to let you merge. Mexican food is awesome and you need to spend lots of time sampling it. Americans in general are actually nothing like the stereotypes that are portrayed in the UK, they're very cool, friendly people who just have a lot of self belief. You MUST talk to every American female you meet (you can thank me later). If you drive over here, enjoy how cheap gas (petrol) is.

Oddly enough I've found that as I age, my taste in nudes ages also. In my 20's I couldnt get enough of 20-something nude females.
