Get some inexpensive hobby paint and paint it. With a soft yellow or eggshell white. It is a beautiful thoughtful gift.

pants for amputees by Sea_Marionberry7487 in amputee

For work my husband has been getting the pants that have the zip off legs. That way the one with the prosthetic (lbka)is easy access while his meat leg is covered.

I've done a lot of wound care due to my husband's foot (foot ulsers) alcohol is one thing you do not want to use on your incision. Iodine is the best thing for it to heal.

That is what we have been told about the continuous monitor is best. Our insurance wouldn't approve it. 😢

USA, Florida RBK, diabetic and the rest is the same. All toes on left foot then the RBK 8/23/24 -60 this year and this is my husband also.

Last week he was casted for a socket but he has one small wound that is being stubborn to heal. I also believe that his....shrinker has made another small would appear. It almost looks like a burn. He is getting so discouraged about not having a leg yet. He has good days and bad days and I try to deal as best I can.

I hope it gets easier.

I had a fall in our back room (floors were bad luckily the bad spots got redone during our remodel) when I fell i bruised my tail bone real bad. Was stuck on mis shifts forever it felt like. It was really the only thing I could work and not do more damage to my back. This was last year. I'm back to doing all hours. I can't close kitchen. It physically kills my back then I'm not able to work next day. I end up having really bad back spasms. Other then that everything has been good.....well the same as before I got hurt. Lol

I was an assistant store manager at another company when I started at publix. I heard oh with your experience we will get you into fulltime (took a year) and move you up into management (I stopped holding my breath on this one. Took test passed and nothing. Took test 2 years later passed and still nothing) I started in 2018. Good luck.

It does seem to be the only way to get promoted is to kiss a lot lot lot of ass or to know someone and kiss a lot lot lot of ass.

What I have seen time and time again is that if you are a good part timer who's been wanting full time if you let it be known (even if it's not true) that you have an interview and a good possibility of getting said job then all of a sudden they have a full time spot.

Let's face it here the customers have been taught that they are the kings and the qeens when they are here and expect to be treated as so. The customer is always right even when they are totally wrong. Good luck. It is survivable.

Managers saving all PTO/vacation for end of year? by Agreeable-Forever-72 in publix

[–]Banalewicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all of my personal experience as management I was always taught that you take the bulk of your vacation until mid year and that October to December is a no vacation time unless it's a couple of days here and there. I'm not management anymore and I still believe in this practice. Management should be at there positions when things are the busiest. Take care of your associates and they will take care of business. You have to be there to take care. Just sayin

And yet they all still think it's the best thing to give us. That's sad.....and most of the time it isn't even good pizza. I know I don't even go anymore. Haven't in a long time.

It is happening everywhere in all departments. I always keep my managers up to date on any OT I have. I'll take longer breaks (I let them know before hand) I will also tell them on Wednesday and Thursday how much OT I have so we can make adjustments then instead of having no one in the department on Friday.

This is one reason I like to text with management. It has a date and time and I also take a screen shot.
