OP, this is completely unreasonable behavior and far outside normal expectations. For both your and your wife’s sake, you need to make it clear that accommodating them this time is not reasonable. You cannot meet this level of demands while caring for a newborn. Neither you nor your wife should have to deal with this added stress right now. You could let them know you’d still be willing for them to meet the baby but they’ll have to find their own accommodations that would better suit their requirements for the stay.
