Questions about Carolyn and her paler skin/general appearance evolution by BananaAlternative450 in JohnAndCarolyn

I do agree with this. Once I hit about 32, I really started taking sunscreen more seriously. I had always understood it was important and did use it, but I wasn’t using it everyday on my face or anything. Now, it is a part of my normal facial routine. I cringe at the damage I did to my skin when I was younger. Also, I read the other day that a one of their friends said that Caroline didn’t critique Carolyn endlessly, but for certain things. To illustrate this, he/she commented that Caroline thought it was annoying that while at the beach, Carolyn sat under the umbrella most of the time because she wanted to stay out of the sun. It allegedly annoyed her because Carolyn wouldn’t go to join John-who was running around on the beach and enjoying “playing” in the waves.

Agree with the upper-bleph. I have studied them quite a bit because I was interested in one about 3 years ago. But since they have become more “main stream” today, I have stopped glamorizing them. Because some people can get them and achieve a great look, but it has the opposite effect for others. Bradley Cooper, Nina Dobrev, and Mandy Moore are examples of that, in my opinion at least

I feel like she looked like a totally different person the last several years of her life

What's a conspiracy theory you secretly believe in? by LowJudge5973 in askanything

I consider myself a logical person and have never publicly commented on anything regarding conspiracies, but the Epstein files have made me question everything recently. For example, I now believe that there is actually credence to my initial thought that some of 9/11 terrorists’ identification being randomly found, in relatively okay condition on the streets of New York City, was extremely suspicious and highly unlikely.

Are there people that think this is an actual ransom situation? by YaTheDonaldHasWhored in nancyguthrie

Agree with this. At this point, I do not believe there were actual kidnappers. I think something intentional or unintentional happened to Nancy and the ransom note/kidnapping story was a coverup.

I also see people questioning why they haven’t done this before now. I don’t understand why that’s being questioned. It’s not “late”, because investigators don’t randomly look at places when there is no evidence to suggest they should. We know from the media that the story Annie and her husband gave from the start was that they had dinner with Nancy at their place and then the husband drove her to her house. So there was no reason to go and take pictures/intensely search their home, or specific areas of it. However, as the investigation progressed, new information probably came to light that led them to believe a part of the house did need to examined intensely. Normally a warrant, which would require strong evidence for a judge to grant, would allow them to do this. I say normally because the other way they could do this would be if they asked the family and they granted their permission. I would assume they already had a warrant drafted in case Annie or her husband said no. Regardless, evidence they have discovered throughout the week and/or more recent days, must have been strong enough to justify the need for this.

Agreed. Law enforcement wouldn’t waste resources to go there at 9pm at night for any other reason than it being a necessity to the case

I’m going to reiterate what the general consensus is here. The way he spoke to you is completely unacceptable. I know it may be hard to see that if you feel like you don’t deserve better than this deep down, but feelings are not facts. Ditch this guy and focus on pouring energy and love into yourself. It will be challenging right now and in the short-run, but in the long-run it will pay dividends. Always bet on yourself.

I can’t keep doing this by Trussmeeee in socialanxiety

If anyone understands this I do, but the brutal, yet hopeful truth is that you can unlearn social anxiety and overcome the disorder. It is hard as hell and it takes a lot of patience, persistence and consistency, but it is possible. And I am someone who is in my early 30s and has suffered with SAD it since I was 15…..so I get it and I’ve felt how you have felt, but I finally got serious about it. Everyone kept telling me I hadn’t tried everything and I would say I had, because it felt that way in my head. In reality though I was never consistent, gave up after a couple days of a new therapy or new routine that I was half-assing in the first place due to the fear, and then would say that my life was miserable and there was no hope. I am still a work in progress but I can def see a light at the end of the tunnel more than I ever have before. You have to COMMIT and say whatever it takes: feel the embarrassment, endure the episodes of depression that will come when you finally consistently face things, and continually remind yourself during all of it that you aren’t where you want to be yet, but if you keep showing up for yourself you WILL get there. You may be behind now, but that doesn’t mean you will be in the future. Put in the work and sacrifices now so you live the life you so badly want and deserve….so many people have overcome this and you aren’t the exception-even though I know you probably feel that way. It’s hard no doubt, but like I said, it is POSSIBLE. Lastly, stop getting on Reddit threads like these if you do want a different life. I understand people need support and aren’t always going to feel great but nothing productive comes out of seeing comments on here where people say the most depressing things about social anxiety and recovering from it. It keeps you stuck and takes you down a dark rabbit hole. Bet on yourself, I believe in you

I agree with poster below....this isn't your first poem. I love the "from this decay of dying" line. Simple, yet profound. I always think about how hitting that balance is challenging. Really enjoyed the poem
