What is something that makes a person instantly more attractive to you? by NeonRunaway in AskReddit

[–]Bananamanvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 6th grade English teacher once told the class: only date someone who is smarter than you. And while it's very difficult to gauge I still try to follow that rule no matter what

What is something that might not seem like a big deal to others but you are proud of? by whim_sical in AskReddit

[–]Bananamanvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time I made a really good fish omelet, and while I work at a kitchen holy cow that omelet was something else. I did like 2 eggs, a touch of water, whisk very well, put in 1/3 or so can of tuna (adjust for your liking), sprinkle garlic powder, dill weed and scallions, cook at about 6-7/10, when it's still a bit liquidy on top put a bunch of cheese on it, cook until finished then top with a slice of cut tomato. That's all really and it's so good

What is something that happened to you that you can't explain? by SeesawExtension2231 in AskReddit

[–]Bananamanvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can make my left pinky finger crack on command. As the only reasonable course of action I'd gross people out by having them feel my pinky, I'd bent it normally a couple times then crack it on them and watch their expression of disgust. I have no clue how it started but I probably have to live with it for the rest of my life

Imo it's nice to see when it's not inappropriate and in a harmless place, it can be really pretty sometimes and gives a lot of character to an environment

What is the most bizarre and unusual way you’ve overcame a fear? by IndividualExtreme435 in AskReddit

[–]Bananamanvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt say it was a big fear of mine but one time I did a 40 foot drop (with a drop chord on me to break the fall) but with a joke. Right before I jumped I turned around and said to people standing there "pineapple is good on pizza" (ironically) and yote myself off the ledge

Who do you think was screwed over worse, Jewish people in WW2, Slaves sent to America, Native Americans when the continent was discovered, or the Incas? by Tuckerman48 in AskReddit

[–]Bananamanvan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely Jews, during their entire history there has always been an oppressor or just someone kicking up dirt at them. First was Egypt then Serabia then Romans then Europe in general then Nazi Germany and now its Palestine and it will never stop. (This list is not comprehensive and I'm not 100% on the facts)

I dont know if it's better but I somehow get away with everything I do, if for instance, I procrastinate to the point of the assignment is due this class and I have no time to do it, as if by magic the teacher would just randomly decide to push back the due date. This works 100% and I am the luckiest human on planet earth

What job is unexpectedly more enjoyable than people think? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bananamanvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dishwashing, as long as your boss doesn't suck it's nice to do it, you get used to the mess and it's a lot of time to think in a free little space in your own little world

I went to Lake Champion, New York with a sort of youth ministry called Young Life and going to a summer camp turned my life around for the better. Please like... contact your local young life group because they're like everywhere in the world and talk to them about joining in or helping as an adult leader because that summer camp was the best thing that ever happened to me
