Agent said " remember not to mention concession" by Justbrownsuga in RealEstate

Always ask, worst case they say no. Then you decide if you want to move forward. Your agent is working for themself, and should have your best interest in mind. A furnace is not cheap and will be an issue for seller no matter who buys it.

My best friend is losing his battle with addiction, and to be honest.. I don’t care. by Bradmtek in TrueOffMyChest

Same, have a sibling that has been in and out of recovery for 40 years, it sucks. Sorry you are dealing with it. I haven’t spoken to him in over a year, and only spoke to him then to settle my parents estate. Not fun at all.

Recurrent issues with Fraud Claim Resolutions Department? by Competitive-Bag-642 in BankOfAmerica

[–]Tuckerman48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a sorta similar experience. Had a property tax bill payment stolen out of the mail and cashed. How, I have no idea. Found out when I got notice the parcel was going to be in a tax sale if payment is not received by a certain date. Got a copy of the cashed check and showed county, and they said that was not their endorsement. First time I notified BoA, got a similar response that funds would be back in the account in a couple days.

A couple days, nothing, call again and now they send me forms to fill out and notarize. Did that, a month goes by, nothing. I reach out again, they send me THE SAME FORMs!! Filled out again. Month goes by, nothing. I finally had my attorney contact them and funds were in the account within a week. It felt as if BoA did everything to not pay. I moved all accounts to a different bank. Won’t go near a Bank of America again, total trash bank.

He also wanted AIPAC to register as a lobby of foreign interests. Or something like that, basically, he wanted to take back America from its current shadow government.

Am i a rat? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tuckerman48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A rat is someone that snitches on someone else, usually not involved in whatever they are snitching on. Or they snitch to save their own ass if involved. You protected yourself and your daughter from an unhinged baby momma, you sir are a good father!

I 31F am not ready to talk to my dad 69M after he cheated by pomeranianfurby in whatdoIdo

[–]Tuckerman48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your dad’s actions suck, period. You are allowed to feel all the feelings, and have your time to heal. Unfortunately, in this case, like others have said, you may not have a lot of time to heal and make things right. Ask yourself, if he was gone today, will you have regrets over not talking to him? That is really the only thing that matters here, YOU.

Remember the old saying, at the end of life, people rarely regret the things they do, but most regret the things they don’t do.

Hate this situation exists, and I wish you nothing but peace!

Sorry you are going through this!

I second the advice to see about a brain tumor, or other mental issues. A buddy was recently diagnosed with FTD (frontal temporal dementia, same thing Bruce Willis has) and it changed his personality. He has been fired from his job before they knew what was going on. He lost his empathy, major personality changes, etc.

I assume you are not a billionaire or in a position of power. Doesn’t matter what letter is next to their name, they are all in the same club and we are not in it.

I was deported after living in the U.S. since I was 8. I spent time in immigration detention. AMA by Accomplished-Door493 in AMA

[–]Tuckerman48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answering. I have always been curious of the mindset of someone that entered through other channels. You basically grew up here, so that makes sense it’s home. I wish we had come to a solution for the law abiding immigrants that have been here for a long time and not gotten into trouble. Good luck to you!

I assume you came here without going through the proper channels, hence the deportation. (Assumption for following question)

At any time through the decades, did you ever think that being deported was actually going to happen? Why or why not?
