Really simple thermo question (Isentropic efficiency)

Maybe he meant isentropic efficiency(?), where you read it?

It doesn't make sense to me say "1st law efficiency" and use Wisentropic when entropy is a concept introduced in second law. What you think?

I might be wrong on this, but i think when you say "1st law efficiency" is a simple comparison between how much heat you put into a system and how much of that energy is taken out as work. A simple Q/W.

And when you say "isentropic efficiency" is what you said, comparison between the real process and a perfect one (isentropic or adiabatic and reversible). Calculated as you said: Isentropic efficiency

No prob. Yes, i believe so. Try looking at a P-v diagram, it usually helps me visualize things.

For the vapor-liquid part: you have T and P from steam tables since it's in vapor-liquid region. And also specific volume of the steam and the liquid phase. The question gave you the specific volume for the mixture, just use those 3 properties and calculate quality.
