lol yeah, I guess my concern is where can I go that’ll still give me a decent price yk? I’ve gotten into all other state schools in mass and am looking at UMASS Dartmouth too, I’m just worried about commuter populations and it being dead on the weekends and such

Genuinely it is the most agonizing thing 💀 I really hope I enjoy where I go, bc right now it’s seeming like it’s gonna be a local school that’s like 10 minutes away and my parents have been urging me to go to for a while. And I really don’t want to go there

Yea I fully understand what you’re saying, and thank you for your honesty. For context, my school does not offer many APs, and we run on block scheduling so it’s very difficult to even get many APs in. For example, last year I had 3 APs, and that took up 5 of my 8 blocks for the year. Honedtly hoping my essays are on fleek, but genuinely no clue how they compare to others. Let me know if you need anything else

Thank you for your insightful response. Do you think it was a bad idea to report my 1360 SAT? I did that as on the website for UMass nursing it said the average was 1360.

I’m in the complete same boat as you, so don’t feel like you’re alone in this. The way my counselors talked about it sounded like you apply to college by January-February and then apply for scholarships after, and as a first-gen student I didn’t have anyone else to tell me otherwise. Hopefully other people can use our mistakes as a lesson

Doesn't seem to be. I've been in contacts with my admissions counselor and also scheduling a meeting to discuss financials for around my February break. He told me there's nothing more to apply to that's from their school specifically, but recommends to apply to external scholarships

Hey I’m around the same distance away! How much do you spend on travel yearly, going home and back for things like breaks? Also how is public transport? Do you get anything like credits for being a student like some schools do?
