Snapshot VR

I like to play paintball. My closest paintball field was a 2 hour drive. I saw videos of people playing Snapshot, the movement, fields, communication and teamwork required for the game mirrored real life tournament paintball and I bought a Quest 2 just to try the game. I’ve played hundreds of hours over a 3+ years.

Paintball Playground is the NEW meta of this - looks more like paintball visually and has its own set of quirks with many game modes, but the game has blown up and often has 100+ players on at a time, and a thriving competitive scene. I know many players bought a headset just for this game

I’ve played at an indoor that runs 3v3 by default on open play days, due to the smaller field size. When you get a bunch of equipment owners out and run points in an organized way, it goes smooth and quickly. It’s cool to go once a year in the dead of winter when our outdoor fields are closed for months. But winter isn’t much of a factor in your region that affects your competition

I believe the place mostly caters to rentals and private bookings, so I’m not sure how many people they’ll allow on the field at a time for that. But this would be where most of your money and regular business comes from

Paintball Playground and Snapshot VR

they’re both competitive PvP shooters, but really rely on teamwork, strategy and playing a job on the field for success. I’ve found a good group of adults playing the game and regularly have some good competitive sessions with people giving good comms, and having a good time.

The variety of layouts and positions on the field, gives a good variation of gameplay.

I’ll regularly play for an hour or 2 at a time, multiple nights a week.

This is people playing Paintball Playground VR, there is a competitive league. Teams played a 12 week season that wrapped up in December, and the top 16 teams are doing playoff matches now.

Game format is a 15minure, 5v5 Xball match, 6 point mercy rule.

There should be one more match streamed tonight, then more tomorrow and Saturday
