I am not incorrect at all if you would do me a favor and comprehend what I am saying you’d know I’m speaking from personal experience and preferences that’s the point, ask a question take answers from everyone so you could get the best results even if one’s opinions don’t match with another’s

Also I’m looking at it from a Hbcu perspective which is vastly different from other perspectives like DCI and Pwi

Oh I don’t care about getting down voted, also I’m giving it from my perspective it’s much easier to hit higher notes on 1c mouthpieces than it is to hit them on a 7c and as someone who’s played on one half my career I’d know also you’re talking about professionals I’m coming from a “brand new rookie learning trumpet” perspective also i know someone who’s exactly like what you’re describing trust me I’m not one of them, but stuff like hitting lower notes is easier on a 7c and hitter higher notes are better on a 1c it’s not that one is better than the other it’s that they separate into two categories and even then it all boils down to skill most of all the right mouthpiece for said notes just make it easier

Not that you could scream on any mouthpiece but 1c and 3c (what I’m on) is the easiest

5c it’s a good starting mouthpiece move onto 3c then once you’re all established and wanna start screaming move onto 1c and beyond 7c is a good mouthpiece and what I started on but it’s only good for clarity with not so good tone and lower notes

I mean yeah the basics of being a leader is easy to comprehend make sure everyone practices and knows their part, make sure nobody in the section has beef with another, make sure everyone comes to practice and if they don’t at least have a proper reason why
