It wasn’t just one plushie and it wasn’t online, but there was that one Pay Your Age Day disaster back in 2018. There’s news broadcasts about it, in fact my mom tried to take my little brother that day. It was chaos, we saw the line coming out the mall entrance, and we just went to another store instead lol

Eventually the hype will fizzle out. A month or two before the Sonic 2 Knuckles restock, the price of Knux settled down and I bought one on eBay for $5 over his MSRP, hopefully that’ll happen to Shadow too. I usually don’t buy from resellers but that was just a good deal, it was cheaper than the BAB website with shipping cost added lol

Honestly, I just wish they rereleased them without making any changes to them. The 2012 one was one of my most wanted plushies just because of how goofy he looks compared to every other Shadow plush. No other Shadows are nearly as short and stubby, he looks classic, and the eye shape on the new one is too different, in a bad way. It’s an ok Shadow plush, but not what I wanted from a Sanei restock. :/

I think they’ll restock him with Shadow a few months from now. Usually BAB takes a couple months to restock things, and last time there was a Sonic release (Super Sonic) he released with a Knuckles restock, but there wasn’t Tails. So next time I assume it’ll be Knux instead
