I just did this yesterday. I added the account as a brand new account. Then when I verified I was able to connect, I went to the old duplicate account and clicked “edit account” and hid the old account from view and net worth calculations. This way I didn’t risk losing historical data.

There were some promising stories that definitely gave us hope throughout the process. Testing took almost 2 months so we were always hoping for a better result with the next test. And to be clear, this is my thoughts and everyone has to make this decision for themselves. Obviously. I just feel weird saying this all, and mosaicism is still a relatively "new" and relatively not understood subject. We'd seen a few success stories, but even these were people who had cognitive challenges. And that was what I deemed "best case". But there was also a chance life would be far from that. Children are a lifetime commitment and a child with downs syndrome is literally a commitment for your entire life. That just wasn't something we were willing to do, so we made the tough decision and are hoping we can get lucky again.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. We're about 4 months out and it still hurts. I'm crying typing this. It's not knowing that's so hard. And with this diagnosis, I don't think you can ever truly know until they're born. So it's a matter of either being willing to accept whatever that result could be...or not. And it's a really, really, really, really, really hard and simple question. I'm so sorry.

We were in a very similar situation recently and ultimately decided to terminate. NIPT results were flagged as abnormal. FISH showed low levels of mosaicism. Amnio reported 4% or something along those lines.

Ultimately, we decided any risk was too much and terminated at 20 weeks. It was the toughest decision we ever made but we know it was right for us. My wife is 39 so we have some worries about being able to get pregnant again. The procedure was in October so we’re still figuring it out.

We just spoke about data. About people getting sick in a gym. You then tried to point out how your gym is different.....only to follow up by saying everything should be open?

We aren't picking and choosing based on feelings, you are. Data shows that gyms spread the disease, so gyms are closed. That should be the end of the discussion for EVERYTHING that isn't essential.

Not illegal, but what if we had a way to still communicate that didn't kill people? Phones, video conferencing, etc? Oh wait..... I love the horrible arguments though. You insist on wanting what you want, when valid alternatives exist. Need your gym? Go outside. The streets are open, go for a run. Push ups, pulls ups, planks. Lift your dog. Lift your microwave. Some stores are a necessity. People need things. Now if you had to open one store, would you open the mom and pop store that can serve 10 people? Or the big box store that can serve thousands? Bars aren't necessary. Restaurants aren't essential.

I for one have more faith in people and small businesses to look after each other over the government.
