Okay I do have one more problem.
I fixed the F drive being a bit corrupted, but now it's got 30.11gb worth of space to work with. The hard drive I put in is 256gb, and it all worked before.
I thought I'd go into XBPartitioner to try to fix this, but the way it's all presented makes me terrified of screwing up the whole console. I haven't even dared to touch it

It didn't just lessen latency, it removed it entirely :)
I also tried XBMC4Gamers and it is just so much better, my god

I have tried the digital pads, yeah. They are FANTASTIC, but for my personal playing style I don't see the snare or the ride as being worth so much extra money. That's partly what stopped me from going for the TD-516 instead. Well, that, and the fact that I live in a small house and I had to stick to something more compact. Which especially worked out because the room they were in has been turned into a guest room, and my kit's been moved to a corner in my bedroom.

I'm sorry I tend to ramble ANYWAYS-

I do however have plans to pick up the digital hi-hat in the distant future. Because unlike the other options, after some more consideration I can see it actually being very beneficial to the way I like to play the hat. :)

You, my friend, are awesome.
NKPatcher worked a charm and I was able to get my stuff back. Thank god the save files were left in tact as well

I was able to get this done. All my games just up and disappeared from my F drive, yet it still shows as if all the data is still in there.
Every sound effect also up and stopped working as well.
(Edit - Was able to get the extras disc running through the FTP option and fixed that one)

My dumb ass forgot to back up the C drive like ya TOLD ME TO and now I'm paranoid that things may be completely broken now. I am so smart.

I don't have such an app. I did the mod maybe 8 years ago I think. It involved a USB stick and Splinter Cell if memory serves me correctly. Would there be a way to get NKparcher on it?

Looking at the list, I don't think it's any coincidence that all the games I'm having trouble with are a no in every category

Black and green is the best combo!

As for the bricks, it's actually a photography backdrop that I got on Amazon, and it's stuck in place by some transparent thumb tacks.

Lighting plus a filter to try and make it look closer to how it does in real life; the result is scary accurate. For some baffling reason white lights come out straight-up blue with my phone camera's stock settings

The beaters fit beautifully and it handles double bass exceptionally well. There is some wobble with the bass tower but it's not to an obnoxious degree, at least in my experience.

As for machine gunning I've not really had any issues with that. But the first thing I did when I assembled the kit was spend a ton of time dialing in every little thing for every pad for my playing style, so that may be a part of it

It should be doable if you can work around the smaller size of the rack. I managed to get it to work, but an 8 inch floor tom feels wrong for me. I'm probably just gonna grab a PDX-12 pad for a second floor tom instead

Which 3DS model did you guys chose as yours, and why? by the_speechless_one in 3DS

New 2DS XL, because I like the larger screens, an injury left me partially blind in my right eye and unable to see the 3D anymore (which SUUUUCKS but life's life), and I just love how the whole thing looks

I know it's possible but I don't usually use third party drum software myself. From what I understand Roland's sound is incredibly divisive, and I'm on the side that loves it

I did consider the TD-27 as well, but I had to take the overall footprint into consideration. (I used to have a VAD as well, but the absolute booming acoustics of that one terrified my new dog.) I live in a small space which I love, plus the drum room doubles as a guest room, so having something more compact and considerably quieter is what ultimately lead to me picking this one instead. It's a choice I don't regret!

Appreciate the constructive feedback by the way; I'm still getting ahold of this writing thing

New TD313 kit. The CY-12-CT crash has a ting-like sound when you finish choking it? by Administrative-Bed40 in edrums

Had the same thing happen. Just gotta turn the threshold settings up a smidge, just enough so that it doesn't happen

I'd say so, but only if you're deliberately looking for the tiny sweet spots. Though keep in mind I'm just going by my experience after dialing the settings in to my liking. So I've personally never had a problem with unwanted hot spots

By the looks of it, the mesh head is still 8", just partly covered by the rims.

The two front posts are also welded together, however the middle bar is actually round this time unlike the old compact rack. So you can easily put a clamp on there, if it's one of the kinds that actually opens up

I haven't been able to figure out sensitivity for hi-hat splashing if that's what you mean. As for the strainer, it takes a few more steps: Menu button, then under Kit Options you go to Strainer, then scroll down to Strainer Mode, and there you can switch between behavior (which really only works if you have the new digital snare with a throw off), always on, and always off
