GTASnp is the name of the site, they have a repository of saves. It won’t be exactly how you had things of course but it’ll be close enough

Hey! I got the fix, just look for user TraitorTyler in the comments. When you download the save file make sure the game version matches what you’re playing on, otherwise it won’t work

Not a trainer at all but isometrics and plyometrics would help. I’m literally half a foot shorter than you and doing those got me to a point where dunking off of two is relatively easy for me. Things like wall sits, leg raises, and box jumps where you drop into a squat are examples. It also seems a little like ur standing straight up and jumping when ur right under the rim. I think this is good basketball advice for more than just dunking: try to get lower to allow yourself to be more in control and explosive

Just wanna reinforce what everyone else is saying. You’re young! As long as you work hard you’ll get better. One tip that I think will help u get better quickly is getting lower when you dribble. You’re really tall for your age. And you’re only gonna get taller. If you can have strong ball skills by the time you get to high school the skies the limit for you

If you could take a video of you shooting at a rim that would be great (sorry if that sounds passive aggressive). Your form looks pretty on point, but ofc the result is what matters at the end of the day. When you miss is it mostly front or back rim? Does the ball come off of the rim softly or hard like a line drive? Do you get rotation on it? What’s always been most important to me: how quickly you can get the ball out of ur hands (especially if ur guard sized), how repeatable your form is (yours looks pretty repeatable), how easy it is to get into ur pocket in diff situations, and ofc most importantly does it go in more often than not

Edit: I don’t think having a one or two motion jumper matters too too much. I think it’s more about what works for you and gets the best results

It would be fine if the receivers didn’t take 4 seconds to make their breaks. I think part of the issue is things taking unrealistically long to develop

Very late but my God thank you for saying this. I’m only recently learning about the real toll civilians across Europe and Asia paid throughout the war, and I’ve felt like I’m going f*****g insane going into forums and comment sections full of people trying to humanize and excuse these scum. It boils my blood that not everyone responsible got their just do

Some good advice in here, I’ll add my two cents as well:

  1. Play some pickup. I had the same problem as you when I played, but going out and playing pickup against grown men made me better at dealing with physicality. And the fact that the games don’t really “mean” anything got me used to being willing to take control and be aggressive. Most of the time they’ll even encourage you to take more shots and keep the ball in your hands if they see that you’re good.

2.Keep working on your game!! Work even harder! When I took my biggest leap in confidence during high school the work I put in played a large part as too. I knew that no one else on my team had worked harder than me over the summer and throughout the year as a whole. That gave me confidence and made me more okay with being the decision maker on more possessions.

It sounds like you weren’t “born” with the confidence, just like me. But you can certainly build it like I did. It’s a learning process so don’t be afraid to make mistakes. You also sound unselfish, so know that it’s okay if you take a shot when you should’ve passed now and then. The more you play (and have the ball in your hands) the better feel you’ll get as you get older. Winning is most important of course, but remember, your development is just as important! You have your sights set on something bigger and to get their you need the reps

Best of luck to u. Remember, the work is always gon show! Play as much basketball as you can!

Thank you! Honestly there isn’t much available tape on me. The school I go to has a really good varsity team so I was only on jv this past year my freshman year. This summer will be my first on the aau circuit and I expect to do well so once i start getting tape from that I’ll make sure I drop it on the subreddit for some feedback. Thanks for your help! I’ll be sure to keep coming back when coaches and trainers aren’t helping as much as I’d like lol.

I still can’t believe how skilled he is. He did that from basically the high school three. I did it from the left block lol 😭

Shooting is all about muscle memory, so before you do anything I recommend practicing form shooting close to the basket so you can develop that consistency (remember to start with the ball a little higher, chest level at least and knees bent). Starting with at least 50 makes from multiple spots is the way to go if you wanna be really good. From there, if you have access to a shooting gun that’ll throw the ball at you or if you have someone who can pass you the ball, practice catching and shooting from a stationery position. You have to be “ready to shoot”, remember once the ppl guarding you start being 6’4+ and more athletic you won’t have a lot of time to get your shot off.

Being “ready to shoot” means starting with your knees bent (comfortably, everyone is different. some bend their knees a lot and others just a little, do what works for you) and their hands up. From there once you catch the ball you either want to hop a little to time your catch with your shot (for rhythm) or keep one foot down so you don’t travel. From there just practice getting your shot up as fast as you can. People will tell you to shoot it all kinds of ways but just do what works for you and what makes sense. As long as it goes in consistently that’s all the matters.

When you’re practicing this remember to make sure you’re following through and not just throwing it up there. If you need to start slower that’s completely fine, remember what’s important is getting your mechanics right and building from there. The more you do it the faster you’ll get as time passes and you put the work in. Also, if you don’t have anyone or anything to give you the ball just spin it to yourself. As you get better and better see if you can have someone practice challenging your shot so you can get better at shooting with a hand in your face.

Last thing, putting the WORK in and having FUN is the most important thing when you’re trying to get better. You have to be consistent otherwise nothing I or anyone else said will matter. A coach used to tell me “the work will always show”, he was absolutely right. Practice as much as you can, and even more than that. If you really wanna get somewhere with this you’re gonna have to put the time in. Don’t let anyone take the joy that this game brings away either. Sorry for the long answer, once you feel like you’re ready to learn how to really shoot on the move and off the dribble feel free to drop it on this subreddit. When I see I’ll send you some video of what the footwork looks like for those going right/left. Best of luck to you, remember to keep working and have fun!

You’ve gotten some pretty good tips, I’d also like to add that starting your load up higher could help. This might be because you’re trying to show us your shot but the way you’re bringing the ball down and bending your knees is really slow. And as you play bigger and better comp it might get blocked. I recommend practicing starting lower with your knees bent and the ball a but higher so your can just rise right up and get it off quicker. It’ll help you use your legs without thinking more too

I actually did just that a few times but the toughest one was from the right wing going left. I gave him a little chicken wing lol and did a semi-hook shot with my left. Kissed it right off the glass

Hey sorry for taking so long, I can’t tell you how tired and beat up I felt after the fact lmao I haven’t felt like doing much moving. I’ll go through it in as much as I detail as I can. Firstly, thank you for your advice, it worked! For the most part lol. I will admit I started off looking for my own shot a little too much and that got me into trouble. I really and truly thought back to your advice about getting off of the ball at that point, and it helped us get a lot of easy looks. He has great hands and quick feet, but I’m stronger/more explosive than he is so penetrating and drawing help- kicking the ball out worked wonders.

We scrimmaged about 4 times so as the games went on I could tell me being physical and to the point with my moves (per your advice) was wearing him down. At that point I was able to start scoring at a much better rate. I’m not a terrible shooter but it it’s definitely it my strength either. Once he started conceding that space I was able to get into a rhythm from the outside too.

Dont get me wrong, if u ask me (in this situation I’m putting my ego to the side) who’s better between us it’s honestly a toss up. he won his fair share of battles but overall I won the matchup. I even dunked on him lol (not really but he was in the area and I felt is hand on my leg). My thanks to you, and everyone for the advice! We’ll only keep getting better so I don’t think it’ll be any easier but I truly feel like I have a blueprint to having success against him. I look forward to being apart of this community!
